Off the main road but with ample parking, this quaint little restaurant has plenty of personality. If you want to meet up with friends and hang out get a table in the back and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the food is some down home cooking.
I had the burger cooked medium and it was perfect, with a side of onion rings. Enjoyed my meal very much.

Excuse me for not replying fully to this review. We came to this restaurant past the half of July 2023 because occasionally we would pass by this location on the side of the road on our way to Huntsville and wondered to ourselves how good was this place actually? We found out it was a family restaurant which was something we were looking for. We drove all the way to from Gadsden to eat here, due to the fact that we keep coming to the same normal places we visit. Well when we drove to the parking lot I saw a number of cars parked there, which was a good sign. Once we entered we needed to wait maybe Almost 20 minutes to sit. Upon sitting down me and my parents saw this restaurant to be a good atmosphere. On the backside of this place they had some trees and few flowers in the background which was pretty. As a resident of Gadsden it is a shame that we don’t have a decent family restaurant as they do in Albertville. We just have fast food, huddle house or Cracker Barrel which is disappointing. To start our orders I had the large hamburger with fries and my parents had the baked chicken with veggies and bread. I enjoyed the burger, the meal was a decent size and as for my parents they also enjoyed what they had as well. I would say it was a good experience coming here.

Friendly and great service. The hashbrowns had the perfect crunch and even the toast was toasted to the level I like. It was my first time there but it was as if they had known my preferences for a long time.

I was introduced to this amazing restaurant when I can down to visit my family for the weekend & just dined again with my family this past Sunday & fell in love instantly, there food, staff, & just great service I’ve ever experienced! I live in Athens AL & would highly recommend, their parking lot is always full but no matter how packed it may be it’s so worth it! Thank you ladies for such a great service & can’t wait to visit again! ☺️

You can tell it's an older place from the decor, but it is CLEAN everywhere... it's like taking a step back in time.
Very home-like, very delicious breakfast. Definitely recommended.

We stumbled upon Food Basket by accident. We were in Boaz and had a bit of time on our hands, so we searched for a cafe for breakfast. Very sadly the first 10 names that popped up were fast food chains. We love this place it has a really cozy hometown vibe! There appeared to be a lot of regulars eating breakfast, as people knew each other. The cost was very reasonable and they have vegetarian choices which is very hard for us to find in this area. Frankie was our server, she is absolutely the best! The epitome of a top notch waitress, she was warm and caring with a lovely demeanor. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I ate breakfast at Food Basket, and it was a good wholesome meal. I got the Porky Pig Omelet and it was awesome. My wife got the pancakes, and they were okay.
