I stopped in yesterday and ate at Fishtales in Norton Virginia and I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. It has a Beautiful atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious.. I will be definitely going back when I’m back in Norton Va again. The waitress was very polite & nice. I can’t say enough about how much I loved the food there. 😋 I love this place. If you’re ever in Norton, Virginia, go by and eat at Fishtales and you can thank me later. My food was so delicious just go see what you’ve been missing.😋

Fishtails in Norton, VA is a great local spot for some seriously tasty seafood. The fish is always fresh and fried just right — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The fries are hot and well-seasoned, and the hush puppies? Easily some of the best around — golden, crispy, and packed with flavor.

I was hungry and I got excited when I seen three slabs of catfish before me. I was through a piece and a half before I remembered to take a picture. The second plate was whitefish. My wife had that there was the bowl of coleslaw, spinach, dip, and chips for the appetizer. The little round balls you see on the plate were hush puppies. We will be going back again.

An amazing deal with delicious food. Order the seafood platter. Fish filet of your choice with a bunch of popcorn shrimp, 4 or 5 fried jumbo shrimp, 2 stuffed crabs, hushpuppies, and 2 sides for $15.99.

Waited ¹ hrs because it was weekend.
We expected that.
1 and 1/2 after we were seated we were finally getting to eat. Two members were never given their food. We had them adjust bill and left.
I was seated where I could see part of the kitchen. Everyone except our waitress were on their phone, even the clean up guy. I understand it was late but do your job stop using phone until after work.

Very disappointed of my favorite place to eat.

I arrived about 7:15 on a Fri. night was seated and order taken. Drink and slaw was served and then waited over 30 minutes. They closest 8:00 pm so I asked if I was going to have time to eat. They only said" Oh sure". As I gave up and was at the register to pay for the slaw and drink the food arrived at TWO minutes before 8"00 pm. I stated that could not eat in two minutes. The staff could have cared less and just laughed. I had to get a "to go" box and take my dinner home.
The whole experience just ruined my evening meal. I have eaten at many restaurants in SW Virginia and eastern TN, but after my last four times eating at Fishtes I can truly say that the service there is the worst I have expercenced anywhere.

The food was delicious! Our server was awesome he went out of his way to keep us happy! The raw oysters tasted fresh and the catfish was amazing! Also the baby hush puppies were amazing, I have never seen hush puppies that small but it sure did pack a good punch!

I had the combo platter jumbo shrimp and whitefish with slaw and mac n cheese. Everything was good except,
*The mac n cheese was not all that, also the hush puppies were more like chickpea size with no real flavor.
