We had dinner at Firecreek BBQ and Steaks and unfortunately, it was a major letdown. To be fair, the server did apologize upfront, letting us know there were only two people working the floor and she’d do her best. Once we placed our order, she was attentive—but that’s where the positives ended.

The drinks and food were truly disappointing. The margarita tasted more like a sugary kids’ juice with zero hint of tequila. As for the food, if you’re used to real BBQ from North Carolina or Texas, this place is miles off the mark. The meat was bland and served in a wet, flavorless slop.

The mac and cheese looked and tasted like it had been sitting—skinned over and barely warm. The fries and baked potato were just as uninspired: plain, underseasoned, and lacking any real flavor.

We spent $85 on this meal and walked away feeling like it was a complete waste of money. If you do decide to try it, keep your expectations low. Definitely not a spot I’d return to or recommend.

Great and fast service. The steak was perfectly cooked and tasty. The ribs and pulled beef were also good. The BBQ sauce was a bit too sweet for me. Cheesecake is a must 😀

You know how you sometimes luck out on vacation and find a really awesome restaurant? Well, for our trip to New River Gorge, Firecreek BBQ & Steaks was that restaurant! My teenage nephew requested a trip to a steakhouse, so we decided to give this place a shot. I'm so glad we did! The menu is pretty simple and straightforward, but had something for everyone in my family -- from chicken tenders to burgers to salmon dinners. The food was really great, but the huckleberry margarita was AMAZING! I honestly think it was the best margarita I've ever had, and I have 26 years of margarita-drinking experience. 🙂 The service was top notch and the layout of the restaurant was also so nice -- we weren't shouting to hear each other or elbowing each other when trying to eat. We hope to go back sometime!

Best ribs I've ever had! Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese was a favorite as well! Peanut butter pie and cheesecake were delicious too! Drinks never ran out, wait staff was on top of everything! We're from out of town on vacation and took a chance on this place and I would definitely be a repeat customer if I lived close!

We stopped in for dinner with a group of seven. We were promptly seated, even though it was on the weekend. Our server was exceedingly friendly, and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend the pulled pork mac & cheese. They are conveniently located right off of US 19 right outside of downtown Fayetteville. Outstanding stop for dinner And the servers are all outstanding, friendly, attentive

Went on the New river bridge walk and our guide suggested this spot. I'm so glad I listened to her. It's such a great spot for really great smoked meats! The wings were really great. The bartender was good and kept the drinks coming. Definitely would be back!

While visiting New River Gauge National Park, we had the pleasure of dining at this BBQ restaurant that I would highly recommend due to its food quality. First and foremost, the flavors were perfect balanced, taking my taste buds on a happy journey.
The restaurant's ambiance was also delightful. The decor was encouraging clients to enjoy the BBQ, the salad's freshness was a plus. Oh, remember to try the Peanut Butter Pie.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional.
