Such an amazing place to escape the city life, yet not too far from home. We had a beautiful cabin facing the river and could hear the roaring camp steam train nearby, which made it feel even more amazing. The cabin was so amazing, having a cozy little space to our own without sharing any walls was the best part. We weren't alone out there, but felt like it was just us, and I loved that. They have the cute outdoor space, perfect for events or weddings, tennis court, firepit, small library/game shed. I would love to come back soon!

Well we showed up late to town and we were looking for places to stay and stumbled on to this gem. Like I said we came late on a Friday. We saw online that they were booked but decided to run our luck anyways. As we pulled up the sign said the office was closed at 5pm we arrived at 7pm.
But we could see someone in the back of the office and begged them to come to the window anyway. Well it was Lisa thank God because she took pity on us and took a look to see if there were any rooms. Turned out there was only one but the computer won't book it because it's a two night minimum on the weekends. Well after about 15 minutes Lisa was able to fix it so we could have that room! I'll tell you the love and compassion Lisa gave us that night really made our weekend. After getting us booked for the one night she walked us over to the biggest beat room they had 11a and proceeded to show us the room, turn on the heat/fireplace and had it warm and welcoming instantly.
When we woke up in the morning we found we were parked in front of an amazing old redwood and could even see the running river behind us right from the deck (all the other rooms you have to leave your deck to see it. I know by making this post we'll probably never find this room available again but I just had to share this story as this kind of blessing happens rarely these days. If it weren't for Lisa we would never have found out how cool this place is and subsequently not heard the whistle of the roaring camp redwood's train, which ended up being our favorite fun thing to do this weekend! Thank you Felton River resort, and a special heartfelt thank you to Lisa for making it happen for us. We will be back!

What a hidden gem, can't wait till our next visit. Lovely grounds well kept. We enjoyed the fire pit area at night and played badminton , made forever lasting memories. Such a cute cozy cabin facing the river. Sitting on the deck listening to the river was my favorite while cooking a bbq dinner. Perfect way to bring in the New Year

What a wonderful place to stay. Simply beautiful and quiet. Serenity and comfort in one place. Cabin was very clean and has clearly had recent paint. Comfortable colors as far as that goes. Our day guests were equally impressed with the spacious and clean cabin. The provided amenities of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are very nice products and made it worth not packing my own. The back of our cabin faced the river where you can sit on covered deck and listen to the river flow by. And there is stairs to access the river as well. All the other guests clearly respect the location and every ones desire for quiet and serenity.
This will be an annual trip for us and we will be reserving a cabin here for every future visit we make to see family and friends. Many thanks to staff and management for a great stay

This place is AMAZING, and you couldn't ask for a better location for vacation! The cabins are great for relaxing, and the grounds are beautiful to explore. Location wise - THE PERFECT SPOT!!! We spent time in the Redwood parks and a lot of time in Santa Cruz, which is about 10 minutes away! San Jose is about 45 minutes away with access to the airport 🛫. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Delightful little motel / cabins. Just off the 9, far enough to be peaceful but close enough to be convenient to the road and local amenities. Friendly helpful staff. The cabin was lovely and warm , comfortable and super traditional

My girlfriend and I stayed here during a weekend gateway ans we really had a lovely stay! Our cabin #9 was spacious, clean. We enjoyed having a warm tea in the porch chairs while listening to the river.

The only thing I think they can improve is upgrading in the mattress to a newer one as ours was way too soft

Other than that we had an amazing stay and we really recommended and we are definitely coming back!!

Nothing fancy but functional and in a beautiful forest location. We just stayed one night as a landing point for mountain wandering.
Check in was easy. Rooms were clean albeit dated.
