Fantastic Food & Friendly Faces at Fat Cactus!

How often do you walk into a new restaurant and leave feeling like you’ve made a friend in the owner? That’s exactly the kind of warm and welcoming experience you’ll find at Fat Cactus in Ajo, Arizona.

The staff was incredible—friendly, courteous, and efficient—making the entire visit enjoyable from start to finish. The restaurant itself is clean, well-organized, and inviting.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely top-notch! The side salad was fresh and flavorful, the buffalo hot wings had just the right amount of heat, and the pizza? Simply amazing! Without a doubt, this will become our go-to pizza spot in southern Arizona.

We’ll be looking forward to our next visit, and if you’re in the area, Fat Cactus is a must-try!

Went to Fat Cactus after riding The Devil's Highway from Yuma to Ajo. They really took care of our group of 13.
The owner brought out a HUGE bowl of incredible salad for us to start on.
The pizza was excellent went great with the nice beer and cider selection.
Thanks for taking such good care of us and creating awesome dinner memories to go along with an epic two days of off-road riding.
Anxious to visit Fat Cactus at there new location next year.

We were a large group coming at supper, the owner manager was awesome tried to make us comfortable out in the back “deck” . The weather was against him cool and cloudy but he tried so hard to accommodate us he could have said no room at the inn! He gave a great time and wonderful pizza and the cider was awesome! We all had wonderful food and great drinks thanks again! I would highly recommend this establishment and the hard working staff!

Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend so we could visit together on a Sunday afternoon. She had her favorite pizza and I had a Cabrese salad. Yum! I spied quite a few specialty flavors of pizza that I want to try (Southwest chicken with a white sauce, Buffalo chicken, etc) and I saw that they had artichoke hearts as a topping choice too (missing: feta). There are meatball sliders that folks at the neighboring table were enjoying… they looked fantastic! Several groups were watching Sunday football on the large screen TVs. Friendly owners & service. We will be going back.

Best pizza we've had. Better than Chicago deep dish and New York pizzas. Wonderful people. Very friendly and courteous. Clean restrooms. Even an arcade room for kids of all ages. Highly recommend southwest pizza, calzones and, the artichoke pizza with bacon.

My friends brought me here on December 11 for my birthday. The staff were all so friendly and made it extra special by going above and beyond, by supplying a birthday dessert and more! The pizza was yummy and loaded! (no skimpy toppings here) and the crust was perfect. There are games all around the walls, so plenty to do while waiting for the pizza, and while drinking a tall beer. I will definitely be back to support the Fat Cactus in the future. Thanks to you all for making my birthday so special, a building is just a building, it's the people inside it that makes it special.

You need to stop here when traveling through! I can't say enough good things about this place. We stopped here twice in one week on our way to and from Rocky Point. The food, drink and atmosphere are amazing. The garlic knots are to die for. REAL ingredients and fabulous flavor. The pizza was delicious with a perfectly chewy crust. A nice selection of VERY COLD beers on tap that rotate. This is a small family-owned business and it shows in every detail, from the friendly greeting when you walk in the door, to the charming outdoor seating area. This is our new favorite spot whenever we travel through town.

A little overpriced, but very friendly staff. The pizza tastes great, but the dough was uneven/ half of our pie was very thin to the point where the slices collapsed & all the toppings slid off. Otherwise, great experience overall!
