Dear Ms. Fisher and Hotel Management,

I wanted to take a moment to recognize two outstanding employees, Angela and Camille, for their exceptional service during our recent stay at your hotel. We traveled from Michigan to Mississippi to attend my grandfather’s funeral, and, unfortunately, encountered several unexpected challenges along the way, including the loss of our luggage.

Angela greeted us warmly when we arrived on Thursday night and went out of her way to ensure we had basic necessities to get through the night comfortably. She also provided us with helpful suggestions for local restaurants that were still open, which made a huge difference after a long day of travel.

The following morning, we learned that our luggage would not arrive until later in the day. Camille was incredibly understanding and patient, kindly extending our checkout until 12:30 p.m. so that we had a comfortable place to stay and didn’t feel stranded at the airport.

Both Angela and Camille demonstrated outstanding compassion and professionalism. Please extend our gratitude to your team for the warmth, empathy, and support they showed us during a difficult time. Their actions truly made a difference, and we are so grateful to have been cared for by such exceptional staff.

As a long term guest currently in the hotel, be warned. I have experienced several negative issues. Their weak point is the FRONT DESK, primarily a single day time desk employee who I have found to be rude, uncaring and irresponsible. After calling ahead to check, then confirming at check in, my first issue was to be quoted an incorrect pet fee that then turned out to be three times as much. Never addressed despite my complaints and requests to speak to the hotel manager. Next due to their public computers all being inopperative, I experienced a need to have a 3 page document scanned and sent to my email. This became a day long issue ending with the suggestion that maybe I could buy them the cord they need. Finally, guest laundry has a broken dryer. A pleasant front desk employee explained this to me when I asked for change and offered to dry my load in their housekeeping dryer after house keeping is done. Very helpful until my follow up visit to the desk and the return of the rude, uncaring and irresponsible one who simply said NO. The hotel GM HAS responded and made things right!

First, Mercedes who checked us in was super nice, friendly and helpful. We travel on a motorcycle and I'm constantly losing my headband. She found it and knew it was mine. THANK YOU, Mercedes! Now housekeeping the next morning was very anxious. Checkout was at noon and they knocked twice before 10am. The third time, I was in the bathroom and they didnt hear me say that so they came in. Always good to close the bathroom door even if you are alone....LoL. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was acceptable.

Positive: Friendly and we were put in a room that the shower didn't work and we were taken care of immediately. I would recommend it to anyone. Negative: Absolutely not

We grew up in Columbus and visit family here several times a year. We always stay in Marriott properties and expect them to be clean if nothing else. We had unpleasant experiences at the neighboring Marriott property which was awful. This was worse. The room was cramped and dirty. View the attached photos. Everything in the room was stained or water damaged. The wooden surfaces were all damaged. The shower curtain was too high and would not stay in place to prevent water from hitting the floor. The breakfast was not good. I was going to eat just cereal because there was no food, and there was one small carton of milk - out of date several days. Rooms need major renovations. This property gives the Marriott chain a black eye.

I travel for work and this is one of the best hotels I’ve been to. Shower has good water pressure and temperature control. AC unit has a constant fan option and isn’t motion sensing. Bed was soft and comfortable.

Dangerous area. No security cameras. Sketchy people. Car broken into and found out this happens frequently. No WIFI. Broken TV’S and not fixed Lousy breakfast. Loud by the highway. How can this continue? Managers need to fired. Reporting to CH.

Nice hotel that is in an area close to many of local establishments. Free breakfast and very nice and helpful front desk workers.
