If you're visiting Clear Lake (or even if you live here like we do!) this boat tour is a MUST. It's educational, relaxing, serene and informative. Our Captain (and owner) Faith is a talented photographer and a very knowledgeable guide of the local Flora and Fauna. We saw so many beautiful birds!! At one point we cruised a quiet Emerald green canal that is reminiscent of Disneylands Jungle Cruise ride..I almost expected hippos to emerge from the water...just BEAUTIFUL...so much life going on in this diverse area.
It's an affordable getaway for a few quiet hours out on the water. We can hardly wait to go back.

Faith is the best! She has so much knowledge about the beautiful birds of Clear Lake. She knows just where to take passengers to show off the beauty and wonder of lake life. We have taken four tours, and no tour is ever the same! Her enthusiasm and love for the birds of Clear Lake makes each tour fun. She also has amazing photo albums on her boat to share and see grebes and other birds up close that way too! Do not miss a chance to go out on the lake on Faith's comfortable and spacious pontoon boat. I promise you won't regret it!

Honestly, one of the best boating and birding experiences ever! Faith was so kind and knowledgeable, responsive and communicative both before and during the trip. Her boat is clean and comfortable, and she guides with kindness, confidence and information the entire time. She knew just where to take us to see fantastic birds and we even caught the beginning of the grebe mating dance season. A trip we will never forget! So highly recommended. Thank you, Faith!

Booked a tour with Eyes of the Wild as a Father’s Day gift. What a treat! It was a gorgeous morning in the lake, we went to lots of sweet little coves and saw a variety of birds including grebes, herons, osprey, bald eagles, and more. Faith is a very nice and knowledgeable guide. Well worth the price. I’ll be going again when my mother comes to town to visit!

This morning Faith, a photographer and birdwatcher, took my husband and myself out in a pontoon boat on Clear Lake. We were ale to photograph grebes rushing, napping and doing the weed ceremony. She knew when the grebes might rush and would position the boat so we were at the right distance for our lenses and had the best lighting. The grebes did not always rush as predicted, but with the lengthy tour, we were able to get several great photos. She also provided interesting facts and stories about the wildlife found in and around the lake. Faith's personality and expertise made our trip an event to remember. I highly recommend Eyes of the Wild grebe photo tours, especially if you like observing nature and wildlife. It was an unusual year for the grebes in that there were less than usual, but Faith went out of her way to make sure that we saw as much as possible. We saw lots of Western and Clark's grebes engaging in courtship behavior, including synchronized preening, sharing grass and dancing on top of the water together. It was a fascinating experience I won't forget. Faith is very knowledgeable about the birds and the area. Her boat is quite comfortable. I highly recommend the trip

My dad and I had two amazing trips with Faith to photograph the grebes doing their courtship displays! She knew exactly where to take us, exactly the right time of day for both the grebes and the weather conditions, and she knew *exactly* when the grebes were about to display, getting the boat in the exact right position for photos! Can't wait to go out with Faith again to see the grebes with their chicks! Highly, highly recommend! It may be more expensive than renting your own boat, but Faith's knowledge of the birds made it more than worth it, many times over!
