We rented the Extreme Driftless cabin for a reunion. It was an incredible off-grid cabin with absolutely no light pollution perfect for star gazing. The setting is so relaxing, with a nice pond to sit by and some trails through the pristine maple forest. Highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed a fantastic night of star gazing and Northern Lights at the Extreme Driftless cabin! The cabin is set at the edge of a wide open field on a hilltop, so there's clear night views in all directions. Hiking and campsites are nearby. We enjoyed some time away from it all.

We did a hike-in archeology tour in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve with Chris and Ryan at Extreme Driftless and had an amazing experience. We learned so much about the natural landscape, the history of the area, the history of the native people all while experiencing a beautiful, challenging hike in the KVR. Would highly recommend for nature enthusiasts, history buffs and/or people looking for a physical challenge. We had two 70+ year old men who were able to hang with the hike, so it wasn’t too much to handle.

The archeological hike that we took was awesome! Our guides, Ryan and Chris, were incredibly knowledgeable and interesting, and the whole outing was really special. We learned a lot and greatly enjoyed our time taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Driftless region.

My son and I had a great stay in the solar powered cabin near the camp sites. My son caught his first rainbow trout with Ryan and Extreme Driftless. We even did some Muskie fishing on the Mississippi River. Amazing views from the cabin and they know the area better than anyone.

If you’re looking for a beautiful cabin in a peaceful location this is the place for you. This is a wonderful place to get away from the world and enjoy the silence of nature wether you want to take a hike through the woods, go foraging, hunting or fishing, or just relax next to a fire or on the porch. I would recommend this place and will be returning in the future myself.
