We paid almost $1k to stay for 3 nights⦠I expected more. Weāve paid less to stay in 4 star resorts in CO. This is a property owned under a large umbrella of properties in āthe villageā in snowshoe. There is no front desk at this property - it is only accessible by hotel key card, which you have to acquire from the front desk at another hotel called Allegheny (spelling?) springs nearby. It is within walking distance, but a massive inconvenience. We wouldnāt have minded any of this, but we were given no instructions or directions prior to our arrival. When itās 25° outside, and youāre loading in tons of suitcases and gear, itās unbelievably annoying to have to run around to different buildings only to find out you have to go somewhere else first. Not to mention the fact that we had ZERO cell reception at snowshoe in general, so it wasnāt a matter of making a simple phone call. There is a paid lot near the hotel, and a lot across the street designated for snowshoe lodgers (that you have to have a room key to use). The designated areas I suppose are used to load in suitcases and gear to any of the hotels at snowshoe are almost always full⦠the only free lot is at ātop of the worldā and too far to walk.
Once we realized that we needed to go to Allegheny springs to check in, we drove over there. Again there was no parking, as with any hotel we expected to park temporarily in the loading area with flashers on, out of the way. We were immediately and aggressively greeted by a valet who was asking us to move our car and being incredibly condescending and rude in the process. He kept asking us to move āover here,ā broadly gesturing to an unclear area of the loading zone, and then getting more and more angry when we werenāt parking exactly the way he wanted us to. We finally got irritated enough that we put the car in park somewhere out of the way, ignoring the valet, and went in to check in.
From there things seemed to go smoothly, until we bought $100 worth of groceries and got back to the room to discover our refrigerator was not working at all. We called Allegheny springs and explained the situation, to which we were told that they would put in a maintenance request - who knows how long that would take (they couldnāt tell me), and they wanted us to stay in the room and wait. We did not pay for lift tickets to sit in the room half the day to make sure our overpriced groceries didnāt go bad.
After several hours and no word from the property, we finally called back and asked to be moved to a different room since we had perishables that couldnāt be out for much longer. They finally agreed, found us a room on the same floor, but told us that we couldnāt move into it until check-in time which wasnāt until 4pm - completely negating the purpose of moving us somewhere with a working refrigerator. I told them that wasnāt going to work and that our day had already been taken up by the whole ordeal and that they needed to let us ācheck inā early. They finally agreed, we had to walk back over to Allegheny springs to ācheck inā again, then walk back and move all of our things over to the new room.
The new room we were moved into had a working refrigerator, but the bed was on the floor. At $300 per night, itās insane to have to crouch down to get into bed.
The icing on the cake was being awoken at 2am on our last night by the fire alarm and ushered outside to the hotel across the street. While I understand precautions have to be taken, it ended up being the result of some kind of mechanical machinery failure and not a fire⦠By then we were more than ready to leave. Good thing we were then woken up by someone down the hall blasting music at 6am, so we could start packing to get the hell out of there.
Between everything previously mentioned, and the fact that we felt like we were staying in a frat house⦠Save your money. Snowshoe is beautiful, but it looks like there are other properties on the mountain for not much more that would offer a much better experience.

Desk would not even consider late checkout even though there is plenty of availability, no concern over maintenance issues reported. Paying too much to stay in a room that smells of dead fish for three days.

If you get a deal or just look past the inflated prices then this place is entirely adequate. Great location next to lifts (though worth mentioning itās an uphill walk to get to most of the slopes).

Stayed here on VIP (sky stage view) for 4848 Festival. The view & sound from the room were incredible. Well worth the VIP price tag - especially with the rain & mud. Overall, great venue for this festival. Enjoyed the perks like the chair lifts. Really beautiful place to visit in the summer. Only issues were finding where to take out the trash, locating the ice machine, and worst was the definitive 10am check out. They don't do late check outs!

Room was ok BUT... The pull out bed was a joke. This room realistically sleeps only two people. The pull out bed was missing half of the springs so we didn't sleep very well. We ended up leaving the next day. They refuse to do anything about it. Ended up just eating the last night.

Back once again in July 2024 for the 4848 Festival. Great accommodations in 4th floor condo with venue view of the Sky Stage. Kitchen and dining facilities in room, great view of stage from our room, short walk to ski lift and village stage all made for a great stay. Planning to be back again.
Spent 3 nights there in Junior studio condo for the 4848 Festival in July 2023. Clean comfortable accommodations within walking distance to activities. Planning on going back again next year.

Great place to stay and have easy access straight to the trails. Beautiful view of the sunrise if your room is on the east side. I wish there was a better place to put your bikes overnight since they are not allowed in the rooms. No complaints other than that. And this room could easily accommodate to families. We had a 3 bedroom and there were coach sofas. Would love to come back this time next year with the family.

The whole building is falling apart, and needs major repairs as evident by our stay, and possibly in violation of building and fire codes.
Some (not all) of the issues we noticed are, the bathroom floor tiles were loose and cracked due to the mortar missing around them; the walls are truly paper thin, you can hear your neighbors like they're in your room; the only evidence of maid service was at 2am when they would wake everyone up vacuuming the hallways; the water didn't heat up (not even luke warm); horribly uncomfortable and low to the ground bed; our room heat didn't work, it would come on for about 10 seconds at a time every five minutes with a loud shuttering noise; disgusting lobby that was never taken care of, that made it a major slip hazard that never received attention, nor did it have proper mats to handle the foot traffic for the snow, no one present to clean it up/ maintain it; shuddering elevator; and lastly a sprinkler pipe burst and was leaking all over in the lobby, which indicates the lack of proper preventative maintenance that if unchecked WILL lead to a major disaster.
