This is the most convenient place to stay when I come visit my son in PDX. The self-service breakfast is great. The rooms are in need of some updating, and the pillows esp are not to my liking. All the rooms I've tried have claw foot tubs which require some agility. It's a comfortable place, i just bring my own pillow now. Wish the windows could open in the room i recently had, even with the heat turned down to 66 degrees it was very stuffy.

Wow! This place was.....so fancy. I felt like I was under dressed! I can see why they call it the guesthouse; i could totally envision Forest Gumps mom running the place or people like Elvis once-upon-a-time staying here!

Please don't raise your prices, but I have to admit, they could easily charge $100 more per room IMO.

My absolute favorite in my suite was the dual head shower! Despite wasting water, I totally got in and ran both heads on me in the center for a minute. Got a real cool waterfall sort of effect.

Summed up in one word, I'd have to say: "Classy"

We were in town visiting our son and stayed here 3 nights. There aren't that many hotels in this part of town and this turned out to be great. We were in the Tilikum studio as that was the only room available. We really didn't need to use the kitchen, because the breakfast area was self serve, but very well stocked and they had coffee pots set up to just turn on for east coast early birds. We will be back for sure.

We stayed a week and half at the Evermore Guesthouse while we visited our brand new granddaughter. We booked the Tilikum Suite, so we'd have our own entrance and small kitchen. When I contacted the Guesthouse to say we wanted to limit our contact with other people so we didn't bring viruses when we visited they baby, the Evermore staff were very generous is accommodating our needs. They stocked our kitchen with a coffeepot, coffee, and filters and other basic breakfast supplies, like cereal, orange juice and milk. That way, we could slip into the communal kitchen each evening to take other items out of the refrigerators and fruit for our breakfast the next day, as needed. When they cleaned our unit halfway through our stay, they even wore masks! I was so happy with how accommodating they were! We loved the studio, too. Comfy bed and sofa, good lighting & AC/heat, great shower and bathroom, robes for our use, and the kitchen was also stocked with oil, vinegar and salt & pepper if anyone planned to do some of their own food prep there (microwave, small fridge, oven/stove). Wifi was reliable, and the communal living/dining room is lovely. Though we didn't take advantage of them on this visit, we've done so on other visits. The Evermore is our go-to place to stay when we visit our daughter & her husband (& now granddaughter) in Portland, because they don't have a guest room. It's in a beautiful walkable neighborhood.

From my reservation through to following up for some receipt details, the staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Check-in was a sort of self check-in situation with keypad and the breakfast offered a nice sampling of simple options from fig bars and fruit to oatmeal, coffee and cereal. I didn't interact much with other guests staying there, but if I wanted to there were a number of shared spaces I had access to. The vibe of the place was pretty cool/vintage and the price reasonable. I would definitely stay here again!

So convenient. The customer support was excellent both before and after my stay. I stayed for a business trip, so had to request a couple logistics things ahead of time, and then I forgot an item upon check out. It was honestly the best experience I've had for a long time. Comfy bed and the facility was quieter than expected given it's an old converted house. Common areas were nice to get computer work done and socializing with my coworker. The area is walkable and provided many retail opportunities. Would recommend to friends and happily stay again.

The rooms were amazingly clean and the breakfast was ready when we woke up. It's a really charming old house that is well kept. The stay was incredibly quiet. There were other people there but we never heard anyone. It felt like we had the place to ourselves.

You can't beat the location if you want to be on Portlands East side. It's near everything and even has it's own parking lot. You can call or text the staff at any time.

We will be staying again for sure!
