Escape in 60 - Charleston, South Carolina

My husband and I came to do our first ever escape room for his birthday. We chose the 80s arcade “After Hours” theme. I loved the theming and surprise elements. Our amazing game master Ryan gave us clues and was super friendly. It was a difficult room but super fun!!! We will be back to try more.

My husband enjoys escape rooms but this is the first one my son went to with him. They enjoyed the Davey Jones Locker theme room. Husband says it was quite challenging and entertaining!

Update: Our experience yesterday seems like a one off and we returned today after Autumn replied to our original review. We are very thankful to have returned and had a great experience. The team’s commitment to making sure we had a great experience was fantastic! The room we played was great and we really enjoyed our time. We would recommend and look forward to coming again.

Arrived at 1:56 as walk ins for 2 o’clock starting of After Hours. Unhelpful guy at the front desk said we had to arrive 5 minutes before the start time so he could only offer us the following event at 3:20, even though the 2 o’clock slot had no one signed up. No attempt to even try and help us, just stated the policy and let us walk out. Escape rooms may be fantastic, but front desk guy is just there for a paycheck and offers no customer service and willing to let business walk out the front door.

What a fun escape room challenge. The staff were very friendly, and the room we did was definitely challenging. But manageable. My wife and I escaped with 8 minutes left from our room and still had clues remaining! Would highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for something to do at night or to kill an hour. We would definitely go back and do another room if we visit Charleston again!

My son and I had an amazing time at Escape in 60 in downtown Charleston! Our host was super friendly and very helpful explaining what the game was about and how to find some clues. This was our third time at Escape In 60 and we will definitely be back for more very soon!

My boyfriend and I visited Escape in 60 for the first time tonight and we did 2 rooms, The Witch’s Attic and Ransom and they were both so fun! (The Witch’s Attic was my personal favorite)~ We escape the witch, but not ransom 😔 But it was still interesting and we had a good time! Game masters Jesse and Aubriela were awesome, super helpful and really enhanced our experience! We will be back to try their other rooms if we are in the area again 🙂

Had such a great experience here! First time doing an escape room and it was sooo much fun. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Our guide Autumn was awesome! A fun activity for smaller groups or even just two people. We can’t wait to go back.

This place was dope. The theming for After Hours is great and the story is fun. The ambiance is perfect for an eighties room and the puzzles were varied and fun. The best part was the Game Guide. Emmy is everything I want in a game guide. Personable and fun to talk to, her hints were timely and incredibly helpful and best of all she knew exactly when to step in when it was appropriate, something a ton of game masters and guides simply do not get correct. Next time we're down we're going to do more rooms because this was a blast.

First time trying an escape room. We had a blast. My wife didn't understand the concept, but at the end she loved it too, we will definitely do another room. We would definitely come back to Escape in 60. Staff was very friendly and helpful in the room. We made it out with 2 seconds left!
