The owner of this lovely B&B has it up for sale but was kind enough to let us rent a cabin for two nights. Beautifully appointed cabin, wood floors, comfy sofas, great bed, wrap around porch perfect for drying our gear after a week backpacking trip in Olympic Park. No longer breakfast served but we had our food shipped to address along with provisions for next week of hiking. Full kitchen, washer &dryer perfect for our needs cleaning up & resting from a week of hiking and preparing for the next. Dryer screamed when started but settled after awhile and worked ok. Two rental cabins and main place. Extra bonus was the neighborhood cat and doe/ fawn who greeted us in the morning!

The wife and I stayed here for three days and it met all of our expectations. We didn't expect breakfast because we were told in advance that was no longer in their scope. Bob was available to answer questions about the area and was knowledgeable. The cabin was well appointed with everything to cook a full meal. We loved the area and might be back some day. The one thing that we found strange was the several pictures of Jesus throughout the cabin. We consider ourselves agnostic but to each his own. The highlight was the beautiful outdoor deck and great smell of the plentiful cedar and pine trees!

We stayed in the cabin and though it needed to be updated, everything was comfortable. Best part there was a washer and dryer in it, so were able to do a load of wash. Two deer came in one afternoon and a friendly black squirrel showed up every day (guess he gets fed a bit and we did our part since we had a couple of grapes left). The cabin had a small kitchen which was adequate for breakfast and snacks. About 20 minutes to town, but worth staying at such a quiet spot with the wonderful views. They aren't on the web, so you must call. Also bring a check or cash as they don't take credit cards, but they had told us that so no problem. A little too much clutter for my taste, but as the other reviewer said - it reminds you of going to your grandparents. The owner was very nice and she gave us helpful information. Was a bit chilly when we were there, but the deck off the living area would be a great spot to relax.

Margaret and Bob were great hosts. We didn't see much of them but they were available if needed. ||The location is perfect. The large deck overlooks the mountains. A very peaceful location to get away from the city. We stayed in Suite 2 and the rooms and living facilities were large and comfy. From the reviews, I was expecting it to be more like a cluttered attic but the old memorabilia didn't bother me at all and if anything, it added to the nostalgic feeling of the place. It was a great price for the amenities. ||On our last night, my friend asked a random question about the apple tree on the property and the couple left some fresh picked apples on the deck for us to enjoy the next morning! Such a sweet thoughtful couple. ||||FYI, just remember payment on property is by check!

After driving all over Olympic NP with everyplace we stayed not having cell phone service, we were expecting our stay at Elwha Ranch to be the same since it was tucked away in the mountains. Turns out there was service, but then I didn't care. The view, and ambiance, from this B&B kept my attention. We were in Suite 1, one of two below the main structure, and it was so pleasant sitting on the back deck facing the snow-capped mountains. Our suite was a little dated. And there were a couple of cobwebs, which is really the only reason I didn't rate it excellent. Other than that, the suite was clean, great amenities and beautiful scenery on property, and the people running it are very friendly! And even though it felt like you were far away from society, Port Angeles was a very easy drive. And many great attractions were less than an hour drive away. I would certainly stay again! You should too.

We had stayed here about 25 years ago on a previous visit to the Olympic Peninsula. At that time the Elwah Ranch B and B was very much like it's description on its website. We had breakfast with the proprietor and then went off exploring Olympic national Park.||||First the good news. The view from the guest suites up the Elwah Valley to Mount Olympus is still magnificent. The location of the B and B is very quiet, far from traffic, and delightfully dark at night. The website says that there is a washing machine available which was provided for our convenience.||||So why did we rate this as poor? The description of the B&B on their website says that if you stay at least four nights they will include breakfast. It turns out they do not serve any food at all any longer. ||||We stayed in Suite number one which has a large picture window looking out over the valley. However, it has only two small operable windows which are marginally sufficient to ventilate the rooms. There is no air conditioning. There is no cable or broadcast television available nor is there any Internet access available.||||The B&B is approximately 8 miles west of Port Angeles. This requires some planning to stay in Port Angeles for dinner. The only alternative is a small café about 3 miles further west from the B&B. The fact that they are west of Port Angeles means that if you are planning on visiting hurricane Ridge it is approximately a 15 to 20 minute drive there and back each day to get to the Park visitor center in Port Angeles.||||In summary, the Elwah ranch B&B can offer an alternative to staying in Port Angeles but if the weather turns hot I expect that suites will be uncomfortably warm. The owners should also update their website to more accurately describe the services that they now provide.

It was everything we expected and more. The host was so warm and available. Our Verizon service worked so well we were able to stream Netflix. A doe and her two fawns were always around and hung out about 20 ft from us for a while one day eating from the apple trees next to the cabin. It was an amazing time on our honeymoon!

We stayed in the cabin. It looks about 20 years old, but is in decent shape. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It has 3 rooms - kitchen with table for 2, small stove and fridge, and full size washer and dryer; bathroom with shower; and a large room that serves as the bedroom and living area. The deck looks north (the 2 other rooms have East views toward the snow capped mountains). ||||The hosts were out a lot (as were we) so we did not get to interact much with them, but they were very nice, and we did not need anything outside of what was in the cabin. The drive to the property is almost as pretty as any in the park.||||It is a great location - we toured Lake Crescent, Sol Duc, Rialto Beach, and Port Angeles, using this as our base.||||If we were doing it again, I would try to stay at Lake Crescent Lodge first, but if it was not available we would certainly stay here again.
