We were visiting Long Beach for a cruise to Hawaii and we stumbled upon the most delicious Tex Mex restaurant. El Torito has great prices for drinks (happy hour) and food. Their staff were also very patient and courteous.

We came here for a Sunday birthday lunch and Ines was our waitress. She did an amazing job catering to our large party. She was polite, friendly and provided fabulous customer service. She got some of her colleagues to sing happy birthday and provided a dessert treat to our honorary member who was celebrating. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Ines for the superb hospitality and quality customer service on a Sunday, busy, afternoon

I made a reservation for a party of 10 at 12 PM. We arrived on time, checked in promptly with our entire party, but didn’t get seated until 1:15 PM. It seemed like they prioritized seating walk-ins over honoring reservations. For example, a party of 18 with a reservation at 12:50 PM was seated at 1:05 PM, which was frustrating. If they can’t manage reservations properly, they should reconsider offering them altogether.

While the food was decent, it wasn’t worth the extended wait. It seems you’re better off walking in, as reservations don’t seem to hold much weight. Their staff also needs better training on time management. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Ordered the traditional chciken salad. Asked to add la del frijoles and corn. No onions, no Pico. Instead, I get all onions 🌰 and seeds salad, only lettuce and chicken. No frijoles or corn, which I was charged for.
