The service here was pretty amazing! Lindy was accommodating and thoughtful. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito and it was pretty good. However, it comes with a lot of different ingredients and I didn’t seem to get much of the actual Carne Asada meat. But again the burrito was pretty good. Lindy offered me ice water while I waited for my burrito and in the bag was an unexpected serving of tortilla chips and salsa. I will be back next time I’m in Kernville!

Trash service. My family and I were blown away at how the server completely neglected our table the duration of our meal. We waved and hollard but the man ignored us and never returned to the table. When we mentioned to another waiter who ended up being the owner, that we flagged down for bill and refills, the original waiter approached us and became aggressive towards us ( a group of 3 women, one with a disability). The owner had to physically restrain her employee who advanced and actually tried to fight us!
It was unbelievable. Law enforcement had to be notified, sad part is the owner allowed this entire exchange to occur to her female customers without interference or consequence.
This place isn’t it!!!

If you decide to eat here, Don't dine in! Call and order your food if you're in a group of 4 or more. Waited 1 hr for the food. everyone else complained and were ready to leave after the 4th round of Pepsi and chips. Not that many people inside when we got there. Started getting attitude from the waitress after asking for the food after a 45-minute mark. Don't get a burger for sure. Check your total amount owed. Once all was done and got the bill. Noticed a difference when we got charged. Recommending the diner down the street or the brewery next door. Better atmosphere, service and food. Sorry, not sorry!

Good portion. They were a little short handed. Only one waitress but she’s efficient and there is no delay on food or drink. My Colorado chilli is a bit salty to my taste.

No dude, that’s not how it happened. You arrived about 11am, asked if you could do your work there. Two of you sat at a table for six. You weren’t just charging your phones, you unplugged their neon sign to plug in your computer. 6 hours later, as the diner crowd started to come in , the waitress kindly tryed to convey to you that they were going to need the table for six and that there was a resource center down the street specifically designed for people to do computer work. You used their facility for 6 hours, bought 2 cokes and split a burrito. An hour or two, okay, but 6 hours. Those ladies are the sweetest, kindest, very hard working ladies and you took advantage of them. They had a family come in and you were too rude to get up and leave to the point they had to slide two tables together to accommodate their dinner guests. Then you gave them a 2 dollar tip/how rude. They tryed to ask you nicely and you were…. Just stupid ! I’ve been eating at el rio for over 20 years and they are just a great place, great food and great people. Shame on you for thinking you’re entitled. And on your way out you threatened a review on Google. Well your Google review is not truthful, I was there !!!

The food is so good. Fair size portions for the price. Out door dining due to covid-19 August 2020. Directly across the river if you need a soda, ice cream or float.

I’ve been coming here when time I visit kernville and have always had a good experience until today . I walked in and asked the Hispanic lady hostess at the counter if she could bring the menus outside to my family and I we were six people and she said we had to order to go in order to help me basically implying that she couldn’t serve us in that simple way and that I have to order to go and I didn’t feel welcome to sit down and eat with my family so I left and because of this lost my business . Very sad and poor service especially because I was with my family and that imo is not the way to do business .the time was 6:50 pm .

Just got a peanut butter milkshake which is one of my absolute favorites in the whole world. Totally to die for! Their shakes are made with real ice cream.
