El Pueblo is very expensive, but dear God it's worth it.

My family has been going here for.. probably as long as it has been there, with me going my entire life. It tastes like home in a way if that makes sense?

The Cancun is A++ and the drinks are fantastic.

First of all staff wasn't very friendly. They seat you and leave you waiting for a long time without checking in on you. Their portions are not even reasonable, for the price of the dish. Not to mention the cheese on the beans was burnt and they purposely seem to confuse you during check out, they miscalculate taxes and add an additional fee to pay with a visa, not even a set fee, it's a percentage of what your bill is!!!!! I really hope the owner of this establishment reads these reviews, because it seems the quality of service they used to provide has slowly deteriorated.

I have eaten here multiple times. One of my favorite dishes is the shrimp fajitas. However, upon my last visit I was shocked with my experience.
I asked the server if their fish soup was made with tilapia and she said yes. I don’t care for tilapia so I requested a dish without it. After reading the menu closely, I ordered a “red snapper” fish dish.
It took 25 minutes to arrive to the table, and my party had finished eating at this point. Not once did the server come back to the table.
Finally they emerged from the kitchen, and delivered a plate that looked suspicious. I could tell immediately it was tilapia. WHY TRY TO PASS OFF ONE TYPE OF FISH FOR ANOTHER? Is that even ethical? After tasting a piece my colleagues confirmed the truth.
On a positive note, I did not pay for my meal as I believe they accepted their blunder, yet NO APOLOGY was given.

Food is good, day we visited had the steak it was super salty and the beans as well.
My wife had the street tacos the meat was salty as well. However went back the following week and had the same dish and it was perfect really good. They gave us two kinds of salsas One was light the other was like a roasted type. It was better of the two. Overall service was good and clean restrooms. Gave it a 4 star due the saltiness of the first visit. But can reevaluate in the future.

Overall food was ok, but portions were very small maybe 1/4 cup of rice and less of beans. To top it off, the overcharging to use your debit card of 4% is ridiculous! And we were charged double tax! Service was below average as well, they sit you and take forever to come back and check on you.

Service was ok, the gentleman that was helping us seated us than dissapered, didn't check on if we needed anything. We didn't have enough utensils or napkins, our drinks where not refilled. Food was bland not much flavor, and not just my plate but my groups as well. Too expensive here for less quality food.

Expensive .
Food not to good.
Only 2 tortillas per plate.
If you want more you have to pay for it.
1st time I have to pay 4 dollars for a glass of water with a slice of lemon.
Other restaurants the water is always free.
