Nestled amongst 100 year old Dogwoods, this gourmet food truck has many options for all. I had the shrimp tacos and was blown away. 3 full sized tacos in a flour tortilla, with options for fried or grilled. I opted for the healthier choice, grilled and it was to perfection, topped with a handmade mango and pineapple slaw. Make sure to check out the great local antique shops surrounding the truck and a soon to be coffee shop.

I stumbled upon El Jefe’s Little Kitchen while staying at the Sky View Inn. The night turned foggy and rainy, so I decided to look for something nearby rather than driving far, and I’m glad I did! The food truck had a cozy vibe and drew me right in.

I ordered the Base Loaded Burger with truffle fries and fried pickles. This burger is loaded—Pesto Ranch, lettuce, tomato, homemade pickles, grilled red onion, cheddar and Havarti cheese, bacon, avocado, and an onion ring. I asked for it medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. Each bite was packed with flavor; the bacon was perfectly crisp, the veggies tasted fresh, and the cheeses melted perfectly. Truly, this burger was to die for!

Being from England, I’d never had fried pickles before, so I thought, why not give them a try? And wow, I’m glad I did! They were crispy on the outside with a mild, sweet, and tangy flavor inside—absolutely delicious.

The highlight of my visit was meeting Jefe himself. He took the time to talk me through the menu, describing each dish with enthusiasm. His passion for his food and positive energy made the experience even better. I also noticed he’s a veteran, which is a nice touch, and I wish him all the best with his future cafe opening at this spot.

Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be back. If you’re around, don’t miss this place!

As the sunlight waned and sunset came in, El Jefe himself took care of us. From the order to serving our food, he did it all, with a passion and excitement that infused the food with a wonderful savor. I had the baja fish tacos, fried to perfection, and onion rings—blessed by his secret recipe, which kept the onions firmly friend and not slipping out of the bread at all. I loved the food. And it’s an amazingly cute venue!

Go check out this hidden little gem, you won't be disappointed. I called and ordered ahead, great service, food, quality and price. I got the Stanley special double cheese burger fries and I was not expecting so much food for the price. Everything tasted great and the owner was extremely helpful and friendly. I just found my new favorite place to eat on the mountain.

Well I have found the best burger I have ever eaten here. The Stanley burger is a huge, delicious bundle of goodness. Cheese is unreal, pickles, grilled onions, tomatoes, lettuce, double giant patties of delicious meat. Everybody needs this experience. El Jefe is a super cool guy, I just can't say enough. He even has a doggie dish that I would even try. Thank You for a great meal.

I don’t generally give reviews but I must say after all the positive reviews l decided to give it a try. If you think bigger is better then this might be for you but honestly I was very disappointed. I like a burger I can get my mouth around. I didn’t care for the burger and only ate half of it. Didn’t like the fries either. A total waste of a $20 bill.

We just had some great fish tacos and burgers! Very happy to have these guys so close. Super friendly. Beautiful outdoor seating. They're opening a cafe in the back of the food truck as well.

Looking forward to the cafe opening and having some oat milk cappuccinos! We need some good coffee options up here.
