Met our friend Julie, Violet, Roc, and Dean for lunch at El Cortez. The ambiance was positive, and our staff of servers starting with Shelsea, Fidel, Atrziry, and Molly were friendly, attentive, and professional. The chips and salsa were good, and the margaritas, Don Julio Blanco, and bloody Mary's were all good. We had fajitas, enchiladas, chile Verde, omelets, and soup. All the food was hot and tasty.

The food is great! Service could have been better. The waitress went home without telling us. We had to waived down a bust boy to give us our check after 20mins of no check in. But I would go back. The drinks and food are great!

I ordered Carne Asada fajitas dinner.
> Aren’t fajitas supposed to be served “sizzling” ? Not here.
> Isn’t the entire dish supposed to be served together (fajita meal consists of 2 plates) ? Not here.
> The dish was served, in what looked like, a tomato puree.
> Very good flour tortillas (2 served with this meal).
> Beans not good, bitter taste.
> A party of 5 is served 1 small basket of chips and very small bowl of salsa ? (refill).
> I did appreciate that they fulfilled my request that green peppers were left off my plate.

Had a nice time with friends. Our server Alex was super friendly and made our dining experience extra nice. Food is fantastic and portion sizes are big. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for Mexican 🙂

The staff did a great job the entire time we were there. We showed up with a party of 10 without reservations and they got us seated quickly and just did a great job throughout. We ended up sharing across plates because everything sounded amazing on the menu and turned out to taste amazing too!

Their Taco Wednesday is fantastic, offering a variety of delicious tacos that are fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. Pairing it with their happy hour (Monday to Friday, 3-6 PM) is the way to go—$6 margaritas, amazing nachos, and plenty of taco options make it a perfect midweek treat. The margaritas are well-balanced, not too sweet, and strong enough to be worth every penny. The nachos are loaded with toppings and perfect for sharing. Whether you're craving street tacos, carnitas, or a classic carne asada, El Cortez never disappoints. Highly recommend!

This is not my first time here. I keep getting their burritos and they never disappoint. (I always forget to mention mild salsa, because they are quite spicy!!

The servers are friendly and they know their regulars here. Great for family, date night, or just a solo dinner at the bar.

I got their Discovery Burrito and this thing is MASSIVE— Look at pic!! Very tasty and full is sauce, guac, and sour cream on the side. I recommend, even if you’re small like me.
Will be back.. Gracias, guys!
