First off the room had an awful odor. The best way to describe it is mold/mildew, concentrated kitchen cleaner and curry. I’m sure they’re aware because they had a wall flower plugged in when we arrived that just added a flower fragrance to the smells listed above. The rest of the room wasn’t too bad other than that with a mini-fridge, TV with cable and A/C. The real problem is the neighborhood… It’s rougher than a stucco bathtub here. Sirens, screaming, dogs barking, fighting, human feces on the sidewalk, homelessness on all the corners, tires screeching and honking all night long. Had the police there at 4 am to breakup a domestic violence ordeal next door. The walls are paper thin to the point I can hear the fire alarm chip 3 rooms down and on a different floor. The window didn’t fully lock either. I’ve stayed in some sketchy hotels waiting on a flight before. However if I would have known these things I would’ve splurged a little to feel safer and get a better nights sleep down the road. Our Uber driver even told us we were dumb/brave to stay there and that his friend was shot and killed across the street a few weeks prior.

Rude receptionist, I went to ask for something and had to wait ages until someone went out. The rooms are extremely smelly, non smoking rooms don't exist here. Limited parking spots, we were hesitant to leave, fearing that we wouldn't find a spot when returning. Prefer to pay more than staying here, never again.

good basic motel with usual amenities. The price is absolutely great for L.A. Everything is very clean, the staff are friendly. Rooms are quiet despite the central location. The facility is well-kept and tidy. Room cleaning takes place daily. Close to the airport, but that wasn't important to us. Parking was not a problem, spaces were available free of charge. W-Lan worked well, modern air conditioning and moderate volume.

Positive: Room was large and clean Negative: Upon arrival TV didn¿t work - I had to get two people from the front desk to come up and get the TV to work correctly¿ And when I went to use the in room Jacuzzi, the Jacuzzi was in operable - did not work - ¿ waste of my money. Negative: ""

The rooms need some real TLC. Toilet seat was peeling, the shower was moldy, everything is really beat up everywhere. beds were uncomfortable, pillows were not great. Good location near the airport, but a little painful to pay this much for a hotel like this. Good for a one night stay if your desperate. Staff was nice and accommodating tho, and were quick to help with requests we had.

Flew in to LAX and spent the night for a concert at The Forum, it was $115 with tax for the 1 night (others were going for $200+).

No shuttle from LAX but I took the 15-20min walk up to where the 115 bus line connects (there's a Trader Joe's, Ross, etc there) and that took me right to the hotel in about 10 minutes for only $1.75, and I was able to take that same bus to The Forum.

No breakfast, but the room itself was nice! It felt very spacious compared to what I would've gotten at a regular hotel and it felt clean (also checked everywhere for bed bugs and found none, thankfully). The only 2 cons were that the decorative(?) blanket on the bed had 2 melted holes in it (I'm guessing from someone putting out cigarettes or overheated in the dryer) and that leads to the 2nd con: they said my room was non-smoking but I did get a slight scent of smoke that went away after a bit of time. My guess is it is a non-smoking room, but the previous tenant smoked in there, which is why they stressed to me on check in that it should be non-smoking and they must've cleaned it out best they could.

2 other points, not exactly cons but things to note: if you're even a tiny bit on the plus size side, the towels won't be big enough for you. I'm a short and small person and they were just good enough of a size to fit me. Also, the 3 pillows provided weren't the best feeling (very thin and cheap). Not really cons for me though since I got more than expected for what I paid for and the area (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
