I had a very good experience with Eco Dive. I had a short time to complete my certification due to weather and other conflicts, but they were really flexible to make it happen. Nico was an awesome instructor! Very patient, knowledgeable and informative. I had some trouble maintaining my buoyancy, but he helped me with it and other skills. Super chill and fun group. Helpful staff at the shop too. Heads up that the one weekend program only gets you certified to dive with a licensed instructor/guide. You need two weekends to get the Open Water certification. Would definitely recommend Eco Dive!

I absolutely love this dive shop. I got my open water and advanced open water certifications through here. All of the instructors are awesome and I felt very prepared with my diving education from them. The staff at the store is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They also run the Coastal Cleanup in Santa Monica every year. I’ve done 3 years with them so far. They host a monthly dive night with guest speakers and have raffles and free tacos! I love the community I found here!

Steve was a wealth of knowledge , patient , and very motivating. Even if I made a mistake he was right there with valuable corrections that made learning fun and encouraging. I had an excellent experience with Eco Dive Center in Los Angeles! Their prices are great, but what truly stands out is the quality of their advice and customer service. I bought some diving gear and was impressed by their expertise. I also took a diving class, and the instructor was fantastic—very knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable. The class quality was top-notch. Highly recommend Eco Dive Center for both gear and training!
Not to mentioned everyone is super friendly, and trying to build an outstanding diving community here in LA!

I started scuba diving this year and fell off the deep end, literally. Eco have been there every step of the way. I finished my open water cert with them after a taster in Japan, then went back for advanced later in the year — both with Megan who was awesome. I’ve been building out a full scuba dive rig and Eco have been amazingly helpful, staff are very knowledgeable and happy to share, and they are always competitive on pricing. If you’re thinking about buying something online, do yourself a favor and call Eco first. I have met lots of great people through the shop, and have now done many local boat and beach dives and been connected to a great community. I’m in the shop most weeks for tank fills; genuinely passionate people work there. I also had great tips on who to dive with in Mexico and had an amazing couple of trips there after that advice. Grateful to have such a great shop nearby.

A week after returning from Ambergris Caye, Belize in June '24, with my partial Open Water certification, I walked into Eco Dive Center and struck gold!

My Belizean instructor, Felicito, recommended I get my scuba kit before returning in September for my final open water dives, and The Great Blue Hole. Thanks to Jason and Jake, PADI Instructors, I walked out a few hours later that Sunday with the best recreational equipment on the market. OMS Smartstream BCD, SCUBAPRO MK25 Evo Regulator and SuuntoD5 Computer with Tank Pod for starters.

I was in and out of the shop over the coming weeks, picking up items that'd arrived, and ordering more bits and bobs. I quickly got to know the rest of the team including Sofia, Allyse and Will, all Divemaster's. The service just got better and better by the minute. Will was checking delivery on my SCUBAPRO Steamer 1mm suit only to find it ending up on backorder. He mentioned SCUBAPRO was releasing a military issue camo suit to the public and said he'd check. Several days later he called letting know he scored it for me, even in a 4XL. Big time booyah!

I just returned from Jake fitting my BCD, and finalizing my regulator setup including pairing my computer to the pod. I had the good fortunate of finally meeting Ron, the owner as well. Bravo Ron!

There's not a more knowledgeable, friendly and inclusive team of dive professionals in SoCal. You'd be a fool to trust your scuba needs to anyone else. I won't.

Great Blue Hole, here I come thanks to Eco!

Used ECO for a PADI SCUBA refresher course. Course was great, instructor was very good. However; communications with ECO were bad. They had booked me for class on the wrong day, and didn't figure it out when I showed up Tuesday to pick up rental SCUBA gear. Wasn't until the day before the class when I called to find out start time of the class, that they realized it. My buddy is taking a PADI dive class with them, and they never emailed him the class material until he called the day before to ask what was going on. I tried to book a SCUBA boat trip with them. They put me on a wait list for the boat, but never called me when a spot opened up. My buddy had to text me when at the shop he saw the spot was open. They told him they had called me, but no record of call on my phone. So I book the SCUBA boat, only to find out when at the shop to pick up gear, that his trip was changed from the dive boat, to a shore dive without telling him.
Update - the manager gave me a call to apologize and told me would address the issues, so I added a star.
