We were approached by our waitress, she advised us that she was filling in for some other girl, later owner came out & told us & her other customers that she was new. I'd rather hear that, than her lieing & saying she was filling in for someone. Because she knew nothing about the food we was ordering. Hubby had the t-bone, he said it was so tough, he couldn't eat it. Only was given the option of green beans (tasted like just opened the can & heated). I had the broiled trout, was super salty, I started coughing so bad from it). Son ordered the 1/4 lb burger, they don't offer any sides with it, just burger. This is only the 2nd time of eating at Duke's in 15 yrs, this will be our last. The atmosphere in that house isn't kosher at all.

Oh man, where do I start….

I’ll start with the bad and end with the good,
Got there at 430 ish, waited an hour to be seated, waited in the truck, they called me when the table was ready. The interior is nice but the tables don’t say “steakhouse” but that’s not a huge deal, we ordered the Potato skins for our app, they came out fairly quickly but that’s where it all changed. I went to a “steakhouse” and they gave me potato skins that had some fake looking canned cheese product on them with FAKE bacon bits? Yeh those ones made from soy… I ate it because we were hungry, ordered a 30.00 steak with the macaroni that you’re charged “extra” for? Ok cool, must be a made in house premium option…. Nope, it’s literally Kraft box macaroni! Not even joking and they’ve been getting away with this crap for at least 5 years, look at the dates on some of the other reviews, then, my steak which I ordered med comes out with a gray exterior and gray interior No grill marks, fat not rendered/cooked good and was tough. Pretty sure it was broiled. Wife’s crab cake came out looking good but the bottom was burnt. We got green beans as a default with our meals and they were bad, no seasoning, I’d say put some smoked turkey neck or pork in them or maybe bacon grease… but you don’t have real bacon bits so I’d say they don’t have bacon grease. In all honesty, Sheetz gas station food is better, maybe not the steak but still. I probably wouldn’t be upset if is wasn’t for the fact that on the menu (which is 3 papers stapled together) it says “ where steak is king and you’re treated like royalty”. Seriously This place isn’t a steakhouse. Can’t believe they serve fake bacon bits and box macaroni n cheese.

The only good part, the server, she was on point, food sucked and wasn’t worth the money. I won’t be back because it shouldn’t take a bad review to realize what they’re doing, they’re taking peoples money in return for a low standard product.

First off pulling up I didn't expect the place to be a house that was designed into a restaurant. I would say it looks nice on the inside and the atmosphere is decent. The tables and seating doesn't say steakhouse but that's not a deal killer. There wasn't a hostess when we got there and it wasn't busy for a Saturday night so that was interesting. Wating a couple of minutes a waitress came and took us to our table. Menus are a couple pieces of paper stapled together.
I had ordered their Ribeye medium rare, salad, sweet potato, and the spinach artichoke dip. The waitress came back to tell me they no longer had sweet potatoes because they were out. Which I found interesting since they only serve them Fridays and Saturdays. Sounds like there might be some poor planning.
The artichoke dip came out and it was just okay. Not worth the price. It is loaded with vegetables. So it's like eating a mouth full of spinach. The salad was salad.
Let's talk about this steak.......the sad and depressing steak. It is broiled. Parts of it were rare, some was medium, and other areas were medium rare. It lacked any type of actual flavor. Which is funny because they offer seasoning and I asked for that. Salt and pepper is all you need for a good steak. Don't broil it, grill it on a real open flame. Also, you lose 35 percent of your seasoning when placing it on the grill. So don't be afraid to over season a little.

I wouldn't go back. But my hostess was super nice and she makes up for the poor food. Not a steak house. More like an over priced, cheap cut, frozen, meat place. The meat is frozen, the giant freezer is out back.

Last night, my experience at Duke's Steakhouse left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share. From the get-go, we were greeted with warmth, setting the tone for the evening. The friendly staff, led by our waitress who was an absolute delight with her humor and attentiveness, made our dining experience not just a meal but a memorable outing. We started with the shrimp cocktail, and let me tell you, the shrimp were not just large; they were colossal, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. It was a fantastic start that set high expectations for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we decided on the filet mignon and the Delmonico steak. Both steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, embodying the rich flavors and tender textures that one hopes for in a high-caliber steakhouse. The filet mignon was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth, while the Delmonico was richly flavored, juicy, and just the right amount of charred on the outside.Considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the excellent service, I found the pricing to be very appropriate. It's not just a meal you're getting at Duke's; it's an experience. Whether it's for a special occasion or just a desire for a top-notch steak dinner, Duke's Steakhouse delivers on all fronts. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Food was on par. Lighting dark and dreary even got a garnish for my plate.. of fries speaking of fries i tried their famous home-made fries that cost more then the regular ones. Received 18lbs of dried out fries with no seasoning or even salt, definitely not worth the extra price. Service was nice lady stopped by often, over all if your in a depressed mood and want comfort stale food while looking at outdated decor and nothing but photographs on every square inch of the wall. Come to Dukes 🙂

I ordered take out, 2 large fries, 1 large chef, 1 small chef. I do love their fries. But they were cold and that doesn’t look like a large. My bill was $29. A little pricey for salad and fries.
