I was concerned after reading the two other 1-star reviews about the taste and quality. I had purchased a two pound bag of shrimp from Whole Foods. However, I think that Dominick's Seafood Inc is only the packaging plant. I have been purchasing wild shrimp for over 20 years from various high quality supermarkets. These were succulent and large with lots of flavor. The value was excellent at $11.00 pound for 16-20 count. HEB in comparison sells 30-40 count for the around the same price. These 16-20 variety has lots more flavor than smaller varieties.

The Best Frozen Shrimp!!! I had fresh caught shrimp down in Virginia & loved the taste & texture! The difference (other than being fresh)? The is NO Trisodium Phosphate used as a 'preservative'. TSP makes shrimp less firm, kind of watery & less flavorful. If you are looking for shrimp that taste as close to fresh as you can get (especially us Mid-Westerners!!!), this will not disappoint! If you have ONLY experienced frozen shrimp with TSP added as a preservative, these will taste different to you. I think that may be why others reviewers had a low rating....

Dominick's Seafood is by far the best shrimp we've purchased for our cooks. Our donors look forward to our event every year because they know we have one of the best if not the best low country boil in the region. The people at Dominick's have always been super friendly and efficient. We look to them every year for great frozen shrimp, and really don't mind doing our own deveining and peeling.

Lab tested added chemicals and beyond its shelf life. Don’t buy this stuff as a 4th generation shrimp consumer. You can find fresh caught shrimp at Whole Foods for about the same price!!!!

Hands down Dominick's is the best frozen shrimp I've ever bought. The other brands like Cape Gourmet, taste like garbage. When you boil Dominick's you get firm, fresh tasting shrimp. The other brands that come from shrimp farms in Asia seem to be mushy and just don't taste right.

TERRIBLE shrimp.I saw them new at Franklin New Jersey shop rite & figured I would give em a try beings that they were marked WILD. It ruined my entire shrimp dish. The flavor is was very weird! And a strange after taste! Will never by them again and I complained to shop rite not to carry them anymore. The seafood guy said I wasn't the only one who complained about them,so they will not order them anymore but still see them there be WARE..........

I just bought A bag of Dominick's " Wild caught in the gulf of Mexico" shell on, raw shrimp. Let me tell you that this was the worst shrimp i have ever put in my mouth!!!! They taste like i soaked them in a heavily chlorinated swimming pool for days.. i will NEVER buy these again,I can only imagine how healthy these are for you. lol what a waste.
