My friend and I each had the fish sandwich. She got onion rings with hers and I had chips. I did try her onion rings. They were delicious. We both really liked the fish sandwiches. The server was attentive and didn't rush us out. We typically take 1.5 to 2 hours when we go out for lunch. We were there for 2 hours. I believe his name was Leslie. He was great. The lady who checked us out was sweet. The decor was really cool and the menu was huge. Will definitely be back. Nice little mom and pop diner. I would have taken more pictures but I didn't want to capture other customers.

Visiting from out of town with family. They chose this restaurant and we found it to be generally disappointing. We all wanted the chicken livers and they were out of stock at 6 pm on a Saturday evening; the party sitting behind us found similar disappointment. Perhaps the kitchen staff can do a better job in stocking advertised menu items in the future? I personally then settled on the spaghetti with meat sauce which I found to be very bland. The best item I had was the ice tea which was very good.

This place is great. Old fashioned, home style cooking. Very large servings. Salad big and fresh. German style steak was wonderful, veal parmesan. Garlic and corn breads. Service was fast and friendly.

Roast beef and mashed potatoes are very good I got it from a take out order today. Coconut pie awesome rolls great. Worth two hour trip from Motown area.

Have I never had a bad experience or bad food at Diehls. Their staff go out of their way to see I have everything I need. I usually call in my order for pickup, I pick up when they say it will be ready and it's usually always ready!
If you like fried chicken livers these are soo good and the amount you get is wow! A lot! Saturdays is the day to get them!

The food is right down your alley if you like home cooked food. The food is pretty expensive for what you get though, also there is not very many gluten free options. I would not advise getting grilled chicken, but the fries potatoes were amazing.
