Our entire experience at Diablo Mountain Inn was positive. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We were running behind schedule and didn’t realize the front desk closed at 9pm. We were coming from a couple hours away and if they hadn’t called us to let us know the front desk was closing soon we would have had to sleep in our car. Because we weren’t going to arrive until after 10 pm they setup a lockbox for us -which they don’t normally do for guests only staying one night. We were so grateful for their understanding and cooperation. When we arrived the room was comfortable and so was the bed. The shower was nice and hot and had an added bonus of a shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser. At the sink there was also a soap and lotion dispenser. There were also makeup removing towelettes and dark colored wash cloths for removing makeup etc. the room had a full sized refrigerator/freezer as well. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars on the room was I wished there had been a bathtub for our baby. Thank you to Diablo Mountain Inn for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

You may not believe me after reading this, but no, I do not work for this motel; I am just an extremely satisfied customer driven to write this review because of the top tier experience I had. This motel defines what it means to have good service. Where to begin? The staff are personable and cheerful, and they went above and beyond to meet my (annoyingly) large amount of requests. Example: I was on a contract working nights nearby, and knowing that I was going to be sleep deprived and arriving at an odd hour, they accommodated me with an extra late checkin and checkout. The room itself is above expectations for the price point, and everything clears a higher bar than it needs to. Clean sheets, spotless room, excellent water pressure in the shower, fast wifi, and all the accoutrements that I might expect at, say, a standard Hilton room (iron, coffee maker, abundant soap/shampoo/conditioner, etc.). These may seem like small things, but for someone who frequently takes contracts that send me to far flung places, I've seen a lot of places that fail at even the basics. Not here. A really superb experience, and a great location too, walking distance to some really tasty restaurants that you can really indulge at with all the money you've saved because of the reasonable rate here. Highly recommend.

Basic hotel, good experience. The room was adequate, in good shape, in working order, recently painted, comfortable bed. Better priced than nearby hotels. It's next to the freeway with some noise - it didn't bother us (you could run the fan to have background noise). The standard noisy A/C / heater that blows into the middle of the room. Adequate free parking and close to downtown Walnut Creek. I would stay there again.

This older style motel has been refreshed and is a real find in a city where hotel stays are twice as expensive. The manager was friendly and helpful. The rooms very clean. The carpets had been replaced with hybrid wood flooring, nice. The bed was comfortable. The parking is free! The location was a little difficult to get to, but not bad. And for being under the freeway, once in the room, most of the traffic noise is gone. It has a flat screen tv, microwave, refer and coffee / hot water maker. Only coffee is provided, no tea. The shower is small, but is very clean and usable. There are lots of restaurants within a mile. The area is safe and we could not hear our neighbors. Overall, for a short stay, this is the best deal in this area.

The room is clean and tidy. There is a coffee maker (also a sufficient amount of coffee, sugar, cream), a microwave oven, a refrigerator and a huge TV. The toilet has shampoo and hair conditioner.

This hotel is simple and affordable. Staff was beyond welcoming, and I would stay here again. Very pleased with my interaction. It is in a good location and looks like they may have recently updated. Very clean and safe environment. Would also recommend to family and friends.

Nice cozy Inn. Easy to find and right in heart of Walnut Creek with lots to do all around. Very walkable to downtown. Safe and Ample parking and room was clean with lots of amenities. Staff was friendly, had No issues with anything. Very quiet property

Stayed here for 1 night. Came after hours but called ahead as instructed to do so in the reservation. Staff was super nice and met me after hours to give me the room information and key. The room was very clean and at a better price than the corporate hotels around the area. Would stay again.
