Drove up from Chicago with our two sons and four grandchildren-3 to 9. Last minute- and they gave us 3 rooms all together - and a later checkout- very accommodating! Had a great meal and kids loved the pool and the skiing. Everyone was very helpful. We used to take our kids with friends over 35 years ago - it’s not a 5 star resort but we certainly got a lot of bang for our buck - will definitely go again - had a great time! And our room was nice and clean!

Recently spent Friday and Saturday skiing. We didn’t stay at the resort so I can’t speak to the rooms. The resort itself could use a lot of updating. We were mostly a group of beginners so spent most of our time on the bunny hill and green run. Not much real snow, but they did a good job making enough snow. A little icy which is to be expected, but really not bad conditions. The group lesson was good and $40 for 1.5 hours is reasonable. We enjoyed warming up in the Avalanche bar. Super limited and expensive food menu, but the pizza and alcoholic hot chocolate were good. Spent some time the last day with the ski patrol because of a little accident, and they were kind and helpful. We all had a great time. Only about a 3-hour drive from Chicago. Hopefully they update the resort soon, but still would recommend a visit.

$18 LIFT TICKETS Thursday 4pm to 9pm. Devils head is perfect for beginners because you can ride any run on the hill even if it's your first time skiing or boarding. Even though the runs aren't very steep, intermediate and expert skiers can appreciate the hill by messing around in the park or by going straight down the runs and getting some speed. For $18 tickets, it's a great deal!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and recently took my family here over a long weekend. Devils Head is about as good as you are going to do in central WI, the problem is, it’s exactly the same as it was 25 years ago. I did not stay in the rooms, but the bars and restaurants are exactly the same as I remember the last time I went 10 years ago. The lifts are outdated, especially the back lift on the far left of the hill. We went after and during a big snow and the conditions were amazing. They did a good job grooming the new fresh snow to peak conditions. Dinner was a let down. We ate in “The Nice Restaurant” on site. Dante’s maybe? They were out of the kids menu. Like all of it. They also had about 5 dishes on the main menu unavailable. I got the ribeye and it was OK. It came out cooked well, it was just not a great cut. I think if ownership was to add some updates to the facility it could be a really nice resort again. Shout out to everyone in the rental area. You guys were awesome! Super fast, friendly, and extra helpful.

I wanted to love our stay but I just cant in good faith say anything good about it . I grew up skiing here and have so many wonderful
Memories here; unfortunately the accommodations are straight out of a scene from the bates motel- I regret not taking any photos ! Just horrible . So Run down and also bugs all over the place ( ladybugs / Asian stink bugs wherever but still not ok) The pool area was also really gross . No towels . they changed our room bc of the bug issue it smelled better , was cleaner slightly but the walls were paper thin and our neighbors were loud as hell and rude saying things like “ I want people to know we are here “ at 7am..Who does that ? And the cost isn’t cheap. I expected a discounted meal at the resort restaurant or something . Not even a discounted lift ticket for staying here . I’m really sad it’s so horribly maintained and I regret staying here . I guess if you are spending a weekend and want convenience to be on the slopes that’s really the only reason I would stay here even so you can find better accommodations in a 10 -15min radius for a lot less money and not feel like you need a tetanus shot for being there ! They need to do some serious upkeep to the inn and main lodge !

had an amazing time skiing at Devil’s Head! The slopes were well-maintained, offering a great mix of beginner-friendly runs and more challenging trails for experienced skiers. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth from start to finish. The views were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. Whether you’re looking to ski, snowboard, or just enjoy a winter getaway, Devil’s Head is a great spot. Highly recommend it for a fun day on the slopes

Great ski slopes. Lift operators are kind and accommodating for younger skiiers. A couple of the lift operators were hilarious and very friendly.
Boot and ski rentals leave more to be desired. Took 3 times to find a boot that would fit me (size 14) and they ran out of poles and helmets, which does not seem safe.

I was really worried reading the reviews but I stayed and skied and found it to be a clean and decent place. It’s comparable to every other Midwest ski resort so 5 stars from me.

We skied at Cascade too and it’s very similar. Cascade is slightly more updated but I liked Devils Head more because it’s tucked away and not on the side of a highway.
