A great place to stay in Talkeetna. The fireplace wasn't working when we stayed there... So not exactly "fireside". But they put an electric heater in our room that eventually warmed it up okay. If you're looking for that romantic feature of the wood stove - maybe call ahead and make sure they've fixed them.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again.

We spent 2 nights in the most wonderful cabin. It was so clean and had such a comfy bed. We had all the comforts of home. Don is the nicest man. He picked us up from the bus stop and took us on a tour of the town. We were in walking distance of the main downtown. He was so helpful and answered any questions we had. We had a nice porch with a couch swing. We had to take our shoes off before entering the cabin, but that's what keeps the floors so clean. There was a good breakfast place just a short walk from the cabin.|This was one of the nicest stays for our 50th anniversary! Thank you Don!

I meant to come on here sooner with a review. We absolutely loved staying here it was only 2 nights would’ve loved a longer stay to really enjoy the beauty and peaceful setting to sit on our porch enjoy coffee but it was a full days of sightseeing in Denali so it shortened our stay in the Cabin. I talked to the owner in the office which was also a great spot he recommended going through Hatchers Pass heading back to Anchorage so glad we did beautiful drive on a sunny day. Highly recommend staying here you’ll love it

We had to pay 3 nights due to the negligence of the reservation system.
Think twice before you reserve!
We tried to make reservations for 3 nights in August 2024.
As my husband entered our information it seemed like the 3rd party reservation system they use, didn't process.
We never received any notification that they had a room available on the dates we wanted.
We did not receive any email or phone call to say "yes, we have availability" or to tell us a confirmation number.
There was zero communication from Denali Fireside Cabins!
Until 10pm the night we arrived in Talkeetna, staying at a different place, because we never heard back from Fireside to say they had a room.
Denali Fireside Cabins charged us the full 3 days we didn't stay there.
The on-site couple say they don't have anything to do with the third party reservations.

The owner came and picked us up at the train station and provided us a detailed tour of Talkeetna giving us answers to any questions we had. Room was very clean and accommodated all our needs. Would highly recommend checking as an option. We personally were very happy.

Stayed one night in cabin #3 and was so pleased with everything. Don was very accommodating when we checked in and gave us ideas of places to see in town as well as restaurants to eat at. The unit was huge with two queen beds as well as sink separate from the toilet and tub. Everything was so clean. If we return to Talkeetna, we would stay there again. Close enough to center of town, yet far enough away to avoid the crowds.

Don was most hospitable and picked us up at the train station.|The grounds and cabins are immaculately kept!! The town was picturesque with fun people we meant through our wanderings.|We also recommend latitude 62 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bartenders are super fun.|Will be back to visit!

The cabin was cute, well furnished and very comfortable. Everything worked and the owner Don is accommodating and very friendly. The property is within walking distance to their Main Street. We were sad to leave and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If going in summer bring an eye mask and ear plugs even though the black out curtains are good.
