Not only is this hotel conveniently located in the heart of downtown Huntington, WV, (close to the university, entertainment, etc.), the staff are exceptional.||This was my second stay at the hotel, and it convinced me I'll never choose different accommodations when visiting this city.||Though the building is clearly older, it is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Depending on where your room is, you might enjoy a view of the Ohio River or the cheery storefronts across the street. ||I was staying with a family member, and we each had our own reservation. Upon checking in, one of us was given a room on the fifth floor and the other, a room on the second. The latter room was not to either of our liking as the view was obstructed by a large tree and views are important to us.||Accordingly, I went to the front desk and asked if I might have another room, hopefully on the fifth floor, even if it meant waiting until one was ready. The woman at the counter (I regret I didn't get her name) cheerfully agreed and asked me to stop by in about 30 minutes or so and she would see what she could do. Voila! Half an hour later, I had my own room on the fifth floor which, like the other, boasted a commanding view of the Ohio River.||This is a clean, comfortable, safe hotel with plenty of parking and plenty of good people on staff. Regardless of who we encountered (cleaning staff, maintenance, or front desk) all were pleasant, accommodating, and quite friendly. Impressive!||Also of note is the fact the hotel is located directly across the street from the Marshall Health Network Arena, should you be visiting for an event there.

The furniture was updated but it did seem like this was a lower-end hotel in a former life. It was clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. However, it did not quite meet the expectations I had from stays at other, higher-end, Delta hotels. The location was perfect, walking distance to many different restaurants, bars, and entertainment.

This place checked all of my most valued assets; clean, quiet, comfortable bed, nice shower and an air unit that doesn’t loudly shut on and off all night. The window has a blackout shade that pulls down so the room stayed dark as long as we wanted. The hotel staff and housekeeping staff were very helpful and friendly. The was a “Pantry” that offers a wide variety of beverages and snacks on our floor- which was quite handy in the morning. It is close to a lot of great restaurants in a cute, collage town.

Positive: Cleanliness. Friendly staff. Negative: We booked this hotel because it had a pool. The pool was closed. Would of been nice to know ahead of time. We would have changed our plans.

I didn't plan to leave a review at all, but after receiving a lackluster response from the General Manager, Donald Ward, I felt compelled to share.
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. Each time has been met with some items not working (water fountains on each floor for example). Each stay has also found me concerned about the lack of cleanliness of the hotel.
My most recent visit actually started off great. I spoke with 3 different employees who were not only friendly and attentive, but genuinely wanted to assist me. The 4th employee that I worked with was rude, condescending and not helpful at all. I emailed the Assistant GM to share feedback about the hotels shuttle availability, but also to voice concerns about the employee. I received an email back 5 days later from the GM defending their shuttle availability, but ignoring my concerns about the employee. This hotel is hit or miss with my family and unfortunately the response I got from their GM was one of disinterest and lack of accountability.

I stayed here for a 2 night stay. Upon arrival I discovered that there was zero parking spaces available but there were a total of 8 completely empty EV parking spaces, which is where I parked. Upon checking in I was told bluntly “if you park there you’ll be towed, go find another spot in the nearby garage.” Not sure why the hotel wastes valuable spots that just go vacant. ||Upon checking into my room I discovered that the extra pillows I requested via the chat feature with the hotel were not delivered even though I was told they would be. ||Utilizing the lounge on the 4th floor the coffee machine was not working. When I got breakfast in the morning, I was told I had to pay for a coffee refill. I really could care less about the actual cost but as an ambassador member that was already having breakfast in the restaurant and had to pay for a to go refill for drip coffee was just a little crazy. ||Overall, the hotel is in a great location, the rooms were clean and quiet, the amenities were somewhat plentiful but it was evident the staff could care less about the overall experience of the guest.

It was amazing and fun the rooms don't look dirty nothing Scary/Dirty going on I went there for a vacation for my brother's birthday on April 2024 on his 8th Birthday for the surprise, the workers are really nice, it's also quiet so I Shall give This 5 Stars.
