Amanda and her staff are amazing! They make you feel like a cherished family member. The location on "The Big Chip" is fantastic and provides a great view from your room. Access to the water during warm weather and the ice in the winter is perfect. So many fantastic amenities for year around anglers you will definitely come back year after year. The rooms are so clean, comfortable and well maintained. The bar is perfect for a burger on the grill, a beer or even better a very tasty old fashioned. Hang out on the deck to enjoy your food, the beautiful view and fun vibe.

It is time to write a review since I have stayed here many years during a special weekend I share with many friends. My recent stay with Deerfoot Lodge & Resort was truly exceptional, again! The entire staff is second to none and I have been to many resorts. Amanda makes everyone feel at ease and is a true titan that handles anything your group may need help with so everyone can be relaxed and really have a great time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible ice-fishing trip. We had such a great time this year we want to come back and fish open-water together. Fish On!

We’ve stayed in the hotel rooms and this time we had a cabin for an annual group ice fishing event. Everything is always very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food in the bar is fantastic! Don’t be afraid of the peanut butter bacon burger. It’s delicious! Very easy access for great fishing. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We already reserved our cabin for next year. The only place we prefer to stay when visiting the Hayward area. You will not be disappointed!

Stayed 3 nites at Deerfoot in a hotel room ( room H). Room H is a ground floor room where you can park right outside the room for ground floor entry. Open the back patio doors to the outside patio/lawn area and to see the lake with a beautiful view. It also has a handicapped accessible shower with a separate hand held spray head and seated area inside of the shower. The perfect place for anyone with mobility issues. Awesome bartenders and a bar menu that can't be beat! My third year back and already reserved for next year! Amanda and the staff are wonderful and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable! Definitely recommend Deerfoot to anyone looking for a great place to stay with reasonable prices!!

Amanda hires the greatest crew to serve up not only food and drink, but smiles and a big "welcome back"! The food is hot, yummy and served promptly. Part of the entertainment is watching the bartenders make up one drink after another - especially Bloody Mary's and lots of Wisconsin Old Fashioneds! You could bounce a quarter on the beds! Nice improvements recently made to Cabin 2, thank you very much. I'll be coming back again!

Our annual Wisconsin Women Fish crappie event is winding down and I'm amazed at the great service we receive at Deerfoot Lodge. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is enjoyable (and there are a LOT of us here). The motel room was spotless and the food good. Love it here!

Love Deerfoot Lodge! Our fishing club comes here once a year and it’s a favorite event because of the location. Excellent service at the bar, food is awesome. Cabins are decently equipped with comfy beds. Well done!

Love this place!! Amanda and her amazing crew were such awesome hosts! Anything we needed she was right there. Food at the bar was so good. Wonderful hospitality! Can’t wait to go back next year!
