From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded with warmth and hospitality. This is one of the many reasons we have been returning every summer since 2015. The spacious and peaceful bedrooms, and lovely antiques, provide the perfect tranquil getaway. The French breakfasts provided by chef Pascal, as well as the delicious dinner options, have always exceeded our expectations! Everything is made fresh to order, and is absolutely delicious. We hope to continue our annual visit for many years to come!

I've just returned from spending three nights at this lovely Inn. My wife and I wanted a few days away filled with peace and quiet. The Deer Park Inn was the perfect peaceful getaway! The Victorian accommodations with antique furnishings created a warm and inviting environment. The inn owners, Pascal and Sandy Fontaine, were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home immediately. We enjoyed sitting on the beautiful front porch in the mornings sipping our coffee and reading, followed by a delicious freshly cooked breakfast , complete with freshly baked bread and homemade jam. Our days were spent exploring the nearby town of Oakland, and enjoying woodland walks. After a full day of exploring the area it was nice to return to the Inn for dinner. They had many dinner options available, and we truly enjoyed the Curried Chicken with Jasmine Rice, and for dessert we had a delicious peach Melba. The evening view from the front porch included a field of wildflowers, and we even got to see some deer walking through them. It is a truly unique experience, and one we hope to enjoy often in our future!

We just had the most enjoyable meal at the Deer Park Inn. We sat outside at a lovely table, watching the birds flying around in the yard. We started with scrumptious corn chowder and a Caesar salad. My husband had the curry chicken with jasmine rice; I had the chicken piccata. Both were sublime. For dessert he had the sinful chocolate pate and I had an incomparable peach cobbler. Everything here is made from scratch and the atmosphere is charming. Sandy and Pascal are the food experts of Garrett County!

Very nice experience. French couple has been at this big old Victorian house for decades. Just a few tables and they cook and serve themselves. Very friendly. The food is excellent in all aspects. Absolutely worth the price unlike some other 'high end' restaurants in deep creek. The drive their is beautiful and the house and grounds are worth looking at. Charming.
Definitely a place we will return to in our regular rotation.

My friends and family are all huge fans of Deep Park Inn! We have only stayed in the hotel overnight once and had a great time - the part we are all in love with is the restaurant.

This review is for the restaurant only as we did not stay at the inn. We were slightly nervous when we pulled up and the house appeared unoccupied. But as we walked up to the entrance, the sounds of music, clinking of silverware, and satisfied "yums" met our ears. We walked into the house, and before we could say who we were, the host greeted us and said our table was ready right outside. We sat on the front porch, with beautiful meadow views, and enjoyed a delicious meal. I especially enjoyed my chilled cantaloupe soup and trout amandine, while my fiance honestly devoured the stroganoff (served with spaetzle!). The host was gracious and timely, helpful and friendly. We didn't feel rushed or slow, and never had to seek her out. She was just suddenly there when we needed our next course. As the sun set, the meadow got even more beautiful, and the fireflies came out. The ambiance was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience, and will return.

We think the inn could use a facelift on the curb appeal, but don't let the face turn you away. It's a 150-year old house with 27+ years of current ownership. There is a history of excellence waiting to be experienced here.

My wife and I spent a relaxing, pleasant evening at the Deer Park Inn. Our room was charming and the breakfast was C'est Magnifique! Deer Park Inn is near Deep Creek Lake Park in MD, but is located away from the noise and bustle of the resort on a quiet back road on the way to Oakland MD. We would certainly stay there again on our next visit to Deep Creek Lake.|

This place is an absolutely wonderful hidden gem. Sandy's hospitality and service is top notch, she's super polite and accommodating. This was my first time staying in an older style BnB so I had no idea what to expect and I was completely blown away so much so that I took dozens of photos to share with my family. The room was classy and elegant. The breakfast in the morning was made for a king, delicious, fresh, and exquisite. I would post a picture of the breakfast but I don't want to share the chef's secrets! 🙂 . I wouldn't change a thing about this experience. Thank you many times over Sandy and Pascal, I'll be coming back again without a doubt!
