This is a cozy café that serves Juneau, AK’s Heritage Coffee in well-crafted, consistent drinks in iced or hot form. We ordered an iced vanilla latte and hot mocha, both of which were potent, correctly made, and flavorful. The chocolate used in the mocha was rich and superior to most other small- and large-scale coffee spots. The staff here are kind and quick with the orders and offer drink recommendations, if needed. They have a decent selection of bakery goods in a cold case and have a nice range of premium chocolate bars. The atmosphere is that of a cozy coffee nook for getting some quick work done or just enjoying the coffee. They have a water bottle fill station and a single restroom inside.

Ordered the pancake bowl and a latte. The bowl was amazing. It had the perfect mix of oatmeal, berries and the pancake. Tasted perfect and I really enjoyed it. The latte was great as well. Great location and ambiance. The place can use a renovation but not critical. Service was excellent. Will come again.

By far the best hot chai I’ve ever had! The food and service was great, and everyone there was super nice! Despite it being super busy, they managed to serve my family of four super fast and with quality food. The atmosphere inside felt super home-y and had a bunch of fun signs. I also loved their currency wall where they had a bunch of different bills from different countries.

This is a loveable little spot. I came for breakfast one morning while visiting Anchorage. They have a great breakfast menu with several things I'd be willing to order. The spinach + feta quiche was excellent -- large, satisfying portion, tasty crust, great textures throughout. My plain latte was pretty good quality; I'd drink it any day. They also have a pastry case and lots of snacks on display. There's a decent amount of seating (can maybe hold 25 people comfortably), a few outlets, and WiFi, though I didn't plug in this time. I'll be happy to come back next time I'm in town.

I visited Dark Horse Coffee for the first time today while visiting Anchorage, AK. The cafe is located in the Downtown area which seems convenient. I ordered an iced latte with a bit of their sugar free blueberry syrup flavour shot, their award winning Vegan Pancake Bowl, and a chocolate covered coconut macaron. The iced latte wasn't the best to be honest, as to me it tasted too bitter and I only ended up having a few sips of the drink. The Pancake Bowl was truly delicious and something new that I hadn't tried before; I enjoyed it very much but wasn't a fan of the cashew yogurt on top, all else paired nicely. Lastly, the chocolate covered coconut macaron was tasty as well. In my opinion, the items were all fairly priced and the service was good. The atmosphere of the cafe could use some work in terms of ambience and updating. If I'm in the Downtown area again, I'd definitely visit again just for the Pancake Bowl once more.

Coffee is awesome. We tried the banana latte it is so good. The flavor blend so well together for a coffee. And you must try their pastry. Is another level ! Felt like a real French pastry house. At least the palmier is the best I ever had !!

This place lives up to the all the 5 star reviews. I had a breve and it definitely perked me right up. The quiche was fluffy and hit the spot. I tasted the yogurt and granola which had a lot of fruits and crunchy granola.

Definitely come by and get your pick me up from this coffee shop!
