A place that’s fun to see, classic in atmosphere, no frills and will fill you up. There are funny signs all over the walls to entertain you, mostly friendly and attentive staff to take care of you and fair, but not cheap prices for your meal.
We had breakfast and being late in the day, we figured we were stretching the staff and getting a quick made meal for ourselves and one other table that came in just short of an hour before close. We were greeted at the door and told it was still ok to come and eat.
I wouldn’t say this was our favorite breakfast out, but besides some hard to chew American potatoes, we can’t say it was “bad” by any means. Definitely filled us up and the coffee was ok once we flagged someone down for cream and sugar that had already been cleared from the tables for the day.
The train decor is cute and there are plenty of tables and parking. Menu is attached and offer enough choices for a diner. You can sit at a table or by the classic diner counter top.

Had a great experience this morning. Was in hurry but was able to get a seat at the breakfast bar right away and my order was taken right away and food came super fast. The food and service were fantastic and the staff super friendly. Would recommend and I will be back!

I had The Skillet, which is 2 meats hash browns mixed up with cheese and 2 eggs on top and a side of pancakes or toast. It's a cute place with lots of signs on the walls and a cozy atmosphere.

I ordered the Country Fried Steak with brown gravy and mashed potatoes, and it was simply amazing. This was hands down one of the best, if not the best, country fried steaks I’ve ever had. The steak was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—and smothered in rich, flavorful brown gravy. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the perfect complement to the steak.

The cafe itself is a charming little diner with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. It’s clear they take pride in providing excellent service, and it made my dining experience all the more enjoyable.

The only downside is that they close early at 1 pm and stop taking orders by 12:30 pm, so make sure to get there early to enjoy their delicious food. Also, the drinking cups are on the smaller side, which means needing frequent refills. But honestly, these minor inconveniences are easily overshadowed by the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff.

If you're ever in Kenosha and looking for a great meal in a cozy setting, I highly recommend stopping by Danny's Cafe. You won't be disappointed!

I really liked this place on my first visit, even though the food was just OK. I've been three times now, and each subsequent visit was worse. Today there was two of us, but they couldn't deliver the food at the same time, so I sat while my daughter started eating before her food got cold. The biscuits and gravy is not good. The gravy had no sausage, no seasoning, no pepper. It tasted like a white rux...no flavor...quite coagulated. Today the service wasn't great either. I'm not sure I'll go back a fourth time.

Love this place. The food and service is great! We always get a good laugh out of all of the posted signage. We visit Danny's Cafe every time we are in town! Highly recommend for a casual breakfast!
