Dakota Hills Inn was a beautiful place with exceptional owners who treated you like family. Every room in the Inn was beautifully decorated and very clean. It was interesting to hear how the Inn was made. The owners, Ron and Barb are kind and hospitable and made you feel right at home. We enjoyed cool nights by the fire and the hot tub was wonderful!! We highly recommend the Inn to all and will be visiting again!! Wonderful get away!

We stayed here with friends and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and spotless. Ron and Barb are wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay special. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we will be staying again in October. Can't wait to see the Fall colors from their deck and enjoy the hot tub.

An exceptional and welcoming place to unwind! A group of us met there for a weekend getaway. It was my first time at Dakota Hillside Inn. The place is stunning! The communal area has a great bar area which was a fun place to gather and catch up with each other. Each sleeping quarter has its own loft and bathroom and completely sound proof from the other bedroom! Barb and Ron are the ideal hosts. They went above and beyond making sure our stay was flawless – from using the hot tub, to an excellent breakfast and bloody mary bar. Their attention to detail is unparalleled to other hosts I have encountered and can be clearly seen in the thought and detail of the entire house. I look forward to our next stay!

What an amazing weekend Stayed Saturday and Sunday night !!! Was just like a home away from home Ron and Barb were just like family from the moment we arrived. Built from the ground up was stunning on the inside and out! We will definitely be going back! So relaxing .... the hot tub was a big bonus!!! They also have Kayak to rent by the day. Right on the back waters of the Mississippi. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem you won’t be disappointed!!!

Great place with great people. Ron and Barb have built a unique, beautiful home/inn. Ron has done the post and beam construction himself with his extensive building experience. Both the interior and exterior are finished with a variety of recycled woods.
The units are spotlessly clean and appointed with an eclectic mix of fishing decor.
The hosts are very personable, knowledgeable, and pay attention to detail. The location is ideal for exploring SW Wisconsin, and is within a 15 minute drive of the Potosi brewery and a restaurant in Cassville. The inn is located 400 yards from a stream where boats can be launched for access to the Mississippi.The grounds are nicely landscaped with plants, and it’s quiet with a variety of birds. There are two upstairs units and a common area decorated with memorabilia and Native American items. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

I will go back! Super nice people and talented. Owners are so creative and have "hand-wrought" the Inn, mostly from reclaimed materials-Build is so cool! You've got to see it -very clean, roomy, extra shared spaces and great views- fabulous hot tub.

We had a wonderful fun weekend with our friends at the Inn. The house is so beautiful and so clean. Even better than that, the hosts were so much fun and so interesting. They were so attentive and made sure we were all comfortable and had everything we needed to have a great time. We smiled all the way home and are looking forward to going back to see them soon again.

Extremely personable and welcoming. The house is truly unique and guests will find the emenities they are looking for including free, on-site parking, hot tub access, beautiful views, free Wi-Fi, a common area with microwave, fridge, and sink access, a private entrance, an off-suite deck, kayak rental, and hospital hosts. Highly recommend!
