Not what I expected. Highly disappointed. I just looked at the Cumberland Inn and Spa on line and it is NOT anywhere near as advertised. This is false advertising. Bathroom not clean, shower had only a stream of water, shower curtain also was filthy, no water available except bathroom water. Bring bottled water if you stay here. We were told our room had a private bathroom, and when we arrived, we could not find “our”bathroom as it was down the hall and around the corner. The bathroom was “assigned” to our room. Also I never saw a spa anywhere. Sorry, I cannot recommend, and I am generally not picky. The Inn is close to the train if that helps.

This was our second time staying at the Cumberland Inn, and we won't hesitate to return. If you are seeking a charming place to stay in Cumberland that is clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced this is the only place in town. If you prefer slick glass and chrome over polished walnut banisters and antique furniture there are other motels nearby. The owner sends you a text with details and you make yourself at home. I had to do a little work while I was there, and I could not have asked for a more comfortable quiet living room area for productively working on my laptop sitting on a comfy couch and no interruptions sipping a cup of tea. Easy communications. They also accommodate bike storage if you're riding the GAP/C&O trails.

I came to town on Amtrak for bicycle trip on The C&O Trail. There was a delay due to a fire on the tracks and missed my reservation by one day.My reservation was honored for the next day. The room was very clean, great location secure place for my bicycle and a great price. Coming back next year to ride The Great Allegheny Passage Trail. Looking forward to staying here again. Thank you.

There is no spa and to advertise that way is misleading. If you are expecting breakfast here, keep looking and trust me Sheetz is the best and only place. You won't meet the inn keeper and directions are handled by phone/text after you arrive. Overall, the inn is far from luxurious. The room furnishings look like they came from a thrift store. No basics to be found like a room refrigerator, ice maker (ice can be found in the fridge if the maid made any), no tissues, no glasses for wine, no wine bottle opener. The dead bolt on door offered no sense of security as the strike plate was completely missing. The room had no temperature controller making for a miserable night's sleep. There was no fire escape directions on the back of the door. The only plus was the room was clean.

Accidentally booked this place, ( paid up front)as opposed to a hotel in Cumberland British Columbia, I immediately contacted them by phone,twice. they did not get back to me, also emailed and then texted through Booking.com.Strange to have zero feedback.

It's very cute.😃 Nice large rooms and comfy beds. Cold AC🥶. Internet and Roku. Shared bathrooms 🚽🚿at the end of the hall.

I lost count after four stairwells 😲 I think we had our own private staircase just to our floor.

Can be noisy with other people here. And it's close to the highway.

We never saw any staff, but communication was easy and pleasant. We made use of the small dining area and appreciated (but did not use) the common 'lounge' area, which appeared quite nice. Nice big room with tub chairs. Interestingly, room lights controlled with a remote. Parking was convenient. No breakfast. Walking distance to downtown.

Convenient location. Clean bedding and room. It is very old so it isn't sparkling like a newly built chain hotel would be. If you arrive at night like I did, you may be creeped out by all the winding hallways as you search for your room. But in the day you will see there's nothing to worry about. Owner was very helpful with getting us inside by giving us instructions in advance. It was a nice personal touch.
