I had such a poor experience at this hotel. The walls are two colors (not fully painted), the 3rd floor had flooded and they had fans to dry it. It smelled of mildew. On our last day, the 4th floor had towels down on the floor once you stepped off of the elevator as though there was water on the floor. One day, they came to test our smoke detector and it didn't work! They also never came back to fix it. They "cleaned the room" and "made the beds" one day, but...(please reference pics) the bathroom wasn't cleaned at all. They just replaced the towels. There was an entire pair of shoes behind the curtains left by a previous guest. That lets you know how thoroughly the rooms are being cleaned. The furniture in the common area downstairs is stained and peeling. Not great. I do not recommend a stay at this hotel.

Not sure what is going on , but someone is opening and closing their room door most of the night (loudly), and I can hear traffic.. the dark out curtains were good, keep the room dark enough to sleep, if the noise level is lower, it would have been a great experience! The WiFi on my floor didn't work, the front desk clerk told me that they were working on it, but offered to give me the phone number to troubleshoot, I told her that was not necessary.

I booked a reservation with this hotel.
However, I never received a confirmation. Unfortunately, I ran into a family emergency on 10-19 with a hospitalization . So on 10-20 I went to the store to purchase groceries. Arrive to cash register and swiped my card it declined. I’m like what?! I checked my account and Courtyard Marriott of Columbus Ms charged my card $445.00. I called to advise them and the lady at the front advise it’s a cancellation fee for the full amount of the stay. I said you all charged me without confirmation nor an authorization for me of some sort. She told me to call back for the manager Anthony. I did and I advised him of my situation. He advised that he will get with his female general manager. He returned to the phone and advised that she was going to uphold the policy. I totally understand that but the full amount of a stay that I didn’t attend. I even told Anthony that I didn’t mine paying something but $445.00 is something I can’t afford and I expressed that. Not only that I chose to pay at property meaning a copy of the receipt would have been received from the property. Which that didn’t happen even though I didn’t stay at the location due to the situation above .
What heart do you have to charge someone who had an emergency the full amount of a stay when they didn't stay at the location? That was the general manager chose Nikki to uphold that. As I mention I don’t have a problem paying a reasonable no show amount but $445.00 isn’t reasonable. No consideration or over and beyond thought process was taking when I called this location for assistance with their staff. My job title with the Law thrust me into public service when I run into difficult situations when one can’t pay or etc I always find a solution in that matter regardless of who they are. It’s a shame how the lack of humanity is so prevalent today. I do not recommend this location for STAY whatsoever. I wouldn’t want what happen to me happen to anyone especially my Mississippi State visiting alumni’s and classmates while visiting Starkville for upcoming events.

Anthony, the hotel attendant who checked us in was very professional and personable. Also, the location was good. The carpet on the hall smelled wet and the odor was beyond disgusting. The bathroom needs a complete renovation. It appears that the rooms itself has been renovated and they were OK but the bathroom was unacceptable. It was black mold and hair all over the wall, mold in the shower, dirt and hair in the corners of the floor, and the ceiling was peeling and cracking. We only stayed one night but there is no way I would recommend this hotel to any family or friend nor would I stay unless the bathrooms are completely cleaned properly and renovated for guests.

Rooms were clean. Room furniture shows alot of wear and use and in need of overhaul. But customer service is outstanding! Every employee had a great attitude and willing to help in anyway possible.

My stay here was enjoyable and I have to shout kudos to an individual by the name of Anthony He's an amazing individual as a front desk in overall ambassador for your organization. My second kudos goes to a young lady by the name of Ms Deborah Jean she is amazing and she handled the bistro with professionalism and courtesy and the answer was always yes. Overall this is one of the nicest courtyards that I have stayed in in my travels throughout the United States and would highly recommend this organization and location to anyone that needs it. I strongly emphasize that Anthony should have his own location to manage run because he is an example of professionalism and the aspect of putting customers comfort above and beyond anything. And your housekeeping staff was impeccable Please keep improving and doing everything right I look forward to being back in your organization and that location in the next 60 to 90 days.

This was a solid stay with a few tiny hiccups. The quality of their team more than made up for any issues though, and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Check in and check out we're both very smooth, cheerful and helpful representatives.

The bed in the room the first night was not a good match for me and left me with several tight spots in my back the following day. The second night I switched beds, and I think it was a bit better. I'm under the impression that all the beds in the hotel lean to the soft side, so it might not be for everyone. The room in general was very nice, clean, and pleasant to stay in.

As for the hiccups, there were a few signs of oxidation on some of the metal pieces in the restroom. Nothing huge though, and nothing that made it an unappealing room to be in. The bed was the biggest hiccup, but a potentially equally annoying hiccup was averted. My room did not have a do not disturb sign and I had to request it. I'm pretty sure my room would have gotten the door knocked on the next morning without it. At the front desk, they initially didn't have any, but the woman went absolutely above and beyond to find me one in an unoccupied room.

Again, I can't say enough good things about the friendly and welcoming team at this hotel.
