Traveling extended period for business, stayed here for much of January and February 2025.

First I want to say what an incredible Assistant Manager they have in Leeann Shrewsbury! I actually have been back/forth to this particular hotel over the course of a year running several construction sites. Leeann has gone over and above repeatedly to help make sure everything was perfect. She remembered me by name, always put me in the room type I preferred. Really made this feel like a second home.

The hotel has great rooms, bathrooms are clean, neat .. could use some updating with fixtures but nothing to complain about at all. Housekeeping does a wonderful job and typically does a full turn-over every 2 days.

Having stayed an extended period and working early in the day (typical start before 5am) they went out of the way to fill my coffee supplies up so I never needed to ask for anything.

The Starbucks downstairs is great for a quick coffee or snack, the resturant has really decent food and of course the bar is always inviting in the evenings.

Across the street from this hotel is a Chick-Fil-A and an Outback Steakhouse. Full "diner" style breakfast completely in walking distance down the service road.

Wonderful hotel, great staff, acccomodating and will return in the future if I need to stay in Beckley, WV again!

Skip this hotel for a year. It is undergoing full renovation while remaining open. It appears from the outside to be closed, but it is not.||We chose Courtyard because all of the other options in Beckley did not fare well on TripAdvisor. This property is clean, despite the construction chaos and the bistro is open. The rooms are showing their age so the makeover is none too soon. It’s a typical Courtyard circa 1999. We would not have chosen this property had we known it was under construction. Traveler beware.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The hotel was very clean. Our room was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. We requested extra pillows and they were just what we wanted. It was also walking distance to several restaurants. We will definitely be back!!

Had a great stay here - the rooms are typical of what you find at Courtyard Marriott (which I think they are good and usually always try to stay at a Marriott) but what made it a 5-star was the people. Travis, Bill, and the ladies behind the counter (on 3/20 and 3/21/2025) at the Bistro were 🤌. Thank you so much!

Stayed for quick one night stay on my way to Michigan. Easy access to the highway and great distance from plenty of restaurants, TRAVIS was awesome the best man in Beckley, a true gentleman that deserves the best in everything he touches. Helped us and treated us like family. If Beckley had a hall of fame for great souls he would be in it. He should definitely be appointed manger, (if he’s not already) and if he is then he should be CEO! TRAVIS keep up the work and every-time I pass Beckley, West Virginia I’ll always remember your hospitality. He also owns a barber shop in town too, I’m going to skip the wedding party in Michigan to get a haircut tomorrow too now, he said he would squeeze me in last minute! Awesome guy ASK FOR TRAVIS.

This hotel was located in an area that has a lot to do. Our stay was 1 night and we visited the Tameracks. Also went downtown to see Beckley and the history of the town. Hotel was adequate with larger rooms and clean. The bistro was ok and served its purpose

***EDIT*** What would happen if my neighborhood lost power, and we had to stay somewhere just to stay warm, and take showers so we can work? I mean… come on, Courtyard Marriott.

I can’t leave any stars for rooms or location, as I have never actually been there. My husband and I tried to rent a room for a romantic night, free of kids, pets, and other distractions for my 52nd birthday. We were denied reservations because we are “local”, and local citizens cannot rent rooms without manager approval, because, and I quote, “most local people are just having parties and trashing the rooms.” My husband responded that we are in our 50’s, and it was my birthday. We just wanted to go to our favorite restaurant and have a nice getaway. My plaid-wearing, car-pooling, kid-hauling, hard-working, 52 & 2/3rds husband was denied.
We’ll go somewhere else.

The location was ideal for our brief stay-over in Beckley. There are plenty of food options in close proximity, easy access to the interstate, and a very short drive to get into town. There's a small bistro/coffee shop on-site, as well. The indoor pool offers plenty of seating. There's also a very cute & cozy seating area with a fire pit outside! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of the needs/questions we had during our stay. The rooms could use some updating, but the beds were very comfortable & the rooms are plenty spacious. I would stay here again!
