I've stayed at this hotel a few times, staff is always very friendly. Hotel is within quick walking distance of a Starbucks and restaurants. On my last visit, Juan and Marisol in the cafe/bar area were great!!!

The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and quiet. It's an older property and there are probably a few things that could use some upgrading. However, the rooms were nice and clean. It was more the hallways and the public areas that could use a little more attention. We did notice that quite a few people were enjoying the pool area, so that's a plus. The location is nice because there's no freeway or street noise.

This place is soo unprofessional. I stayed not even a full night at this hotel after doing a long drive I wanted to rest and enjoy this hotel. As soon as I got in my room, I changed and went out to get something to eat at a nearby restaurant. Once I got back to the hotel, I slept a couple hours only to wake up to a roach in my bathroom! I immediately checked out early no matter how tired after a 6hr drive. I packed my things and was in the lobby for a good 20-30min where there was no front desk person present so I called customer support and was on the phone with the hotel agent letting them know my experience was not a good one due to the roach found in my room that was alive. The Agent stated he made a note in the system on my early checkout and notified front desk at the hotel. The woman who was not present finally knowing I was in the lobby never said anything to me until after the fact she got off the phone with the agent who had me on hold. Once the agent returned to our call, he stated the hotel manager will call me in the morning. My checkout was set for 12pm the next day but unbeknownst to that roach in my room I could not sleeping there anymore as I was skeptical more would be hiding in my room I ended up checking out between 3-4:30am. I approached the lady at the front desk to tell her my concern and she had this weird look on her face as if my concern was annoying to her. She also said the same thing the hotel manager will call me in the morning. It has been 9 days now, back and forth emails with customer support that they are “addressing my hotel concern” and 3-4 people say the same thing” in the email “we are reviewing your reservation request.” How many times must you guys repeat that when it’s discouraging to the customer who just wants to resolve the issue but ultimately this is unacceptable, unprofessional and inconsiderate to the customer who paid a lot of money to a room that didn’t provide satisfaction. Because the hotel manager did not call me and customer support is useless. Please see how concerning this is to have roaches in your units for paying customers. I wonder how “clean” these rooms really are. It’s better to book at the other two hotels within the same area. Courtyard in Bakersfield Ca on Marriott drive does not provide customer service or even apologize for the upkeep of their rooms not being taken care of. No compensation will be granted and you will hit a dead end sending an email or phone call to customer support so good luck with that.

Gladys went above and beyond to ensure that I was checked in and was able to stay on the first floor IVO my truck/trailer. Marriott should promote her to a management position; promote ahead of peers!

The room I was in was nice and clean but the toilet flushed really really slow and I had to often double flushed. Additionally we had no microwave to warm up food and the on-site laundry had a small capacity washer.

Positive: Leaving Negative: The room had a very low ceiling with cottage cheese on it. I could smell smoke coming into my room. The hotel out ashtrays 15 feet outside of the side entrance. The overall hotel was old and beat. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Only one thought comes to mind.....keep looking! At best this is a 2 star property. Super low ceiling, not to mention the rooms still have cottage cheese on the ceiling. They let people smoke 10 feet outside the building. The place smells of smoke. I will say that all of the employees were friendly, but that can't make up for such a poor experience. This place is just a beat up property!!!!!!

Rooms can be improved by having a night light in the bathroom instead of the hallway light going on by moving past the sensor in the middle of the night as you walk to the bathroom. Partner did not approve of being woken up like that. Also was not able to connect my devices to stream my own movies. Modern hotels need to have an option to either stream to the tv or at least be able to plug in a device. Breakfast was great. Dinner at the grill was great. Parking was easy. Internet speed was okay but could be better.
