It was my first time going into the cafe, and it was NOT a mistake!!! Everything was great. I met 2 nice ladies as I was coming in, and they were leaving. They greeted me by saying it was their first time in there, and they loved it. They highly recommended the Chicken Fried Steaks. I think that will be my next selection. Thank you to the staff for making me feel like I was at home.❤️

Four stars on service, not because anyone was rude or service was bad; it just didn’t feel very welcoming. The food was good. I enjoyed the baked potato. The salad bar was also good. It’s your basic cafe salad bar. The BLT was a good sized sandwich and the fries were crispy. The fried pickles were perfectly salty and crunchy. Glad we stopped in while on vacation. I would eat there again.

We split the pork chop breakfast and added biscuits and gravy. It was very good. Well worth getting off the busy highway 59. We will be coming back. You park behind the building.

Miss the old menu!
This cafe had a unique menu a while back and boy, really missed that today as we visited Livingston. Current menu is same old stuff you can get anywhere. Service was good, food was tasty, though of a 'packaged' variety.

The flavor profile was good, but it took a really long time to get your food. I rated the service a 4 vs a 3 because the servers were apologizing profusely and seem equally as frustrated about the wait times. I will try them again to see if it was just an off day. Today I had breakfast next time I will try the hamburger steak.

The outside didn't look like your traditional restaurant but let me tell you .. go in!
Both ordered western omelettes and hash browns, with rye bread. They had a soup & salad bar as well as a breakfast buffets that looked good.
Arrived and a gentleman was singing country songs.
The restaurant is clean, staff is very polite and respectful.

Amazing small town cafe serving homestyle food.

They had a breakfast buffet going through lunch which looked amazing. I was craving a chicken fried chicken.

The portion was hearty and I couldn’t finish it. The batter was a real nice crisp, chicken was the size of small frisbee. Obviously one side had to be mashed potatoes and gravy and the other was fried okra. Also got the Texas toast and it was so nice and buttery.

The appetizer was the largest bowl of fried pickles ever served with a big cup of ranch. It was awesome.

We also had a patty melt and club and those were both very tasty as well.

If you are in Livingston one more seriously stop in here. Super friendly down home staff that was extremely welcoming.

We have only eaten breakfast and it has always been delicious. Went today for lunch and the shrimp poboy was amazing. My husband had the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and okra and said it was delicious. The waitstaff is very friendly!!!!
