Coronado Beach Resort was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Whether you're staying for a week or just a short trip, this place has everything you need. If you forget something or need anything during your stay, the staff is incredibly responsive and helpful—seriously, like “Door Dash” quick!
The location is unbeatable. You wake up to the stunning view of the iconic Hotel Del Coronado and the beautiful beach, and the sunsets are just breathtaking. You can easily walk, bike, or take a quick drive to reach any of the nearby attractions.
The service is top-notch and feels truly luxurious. Erik, Montana, and the entire team are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home. I can’t recommend this place enough. Highly, highly recommended!

What a wonderful resort, staffed by an exceptional team with positive attitudes. We loved our stay, and were very sorry when it was time to leave. Eric is extremely kind, caring and available almost 24/7. Everything about this resort is first class, and the location is ideal for walking to Coronado's restaurants and shopping. I would love to go back for a longer stay, and hope to do so in the coming year. Hats off to a perfectly managed resort in an ideal location. Thank you for our outstanding experience.

I've been coming to this hotel for about 5 years now. I've always enjoyed my stay. The amenities are nice, especially as you have access to a larger hotel down the street. Even so, I've enjoyed their gym and hot tub. The location is unbeatable as you can easily walk through the town or down to the beach. Also, I've taken advantage of the bikes they have for you to borrow. Definitely worth doing.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and work to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

My only complaint is parking. They have restrictions. I've generally had to park a few blocks away as my family comes in multiple cars. A small consideration given how easily you can get around.

Beautiful, simply beautiful! The room (which feels like a small apartment) is very well taken care of, has everything you will need, is in the perfect location, and the breakfast corner is so cute! More importantly, the staff is so kind and helpful .... thank you Montana, Pearl, and all the staff who have helped us! If given the opportunity we will definitely stay here again!!!!

First, I would like to thank the staff for the prompt response (front desk and manager). We had a situation in our room which called for reinforcements to clean up an issue that we walked into from the prior guest. It was handled quickly and staff was amicable and stepped up big time for our visit over MLK weekend. Otherwise, the room was clean with accessible appliances and layout was good. The 9am breakfast was delayed by 15 min, not a big issue but was noted as we made plans for the day. The location is in a very good spot with the shopping district and beach nearby. On-site parking is a plus. The gym is a decent size with free weights, treadmill, and cables. Would have given 5 stars but the anomaly of the room and delay in breakfast made it 4 stars. I Would come back again, though, as it seems it was an off day unfortunately.

As East Coasters from Boston, we didn’t know much about Coronado Island before our trip, but wow—this place is an absolute gem! The Coronado Beach Resort was perfect in every way. The location couldn’t be better, right across the street from the historic Hotel del Coronado and just a short walk to the stunning beach. The resort even provides beach chairs, towels, and a wagon to make your day by the ocean effortless.

The area is packed with amazing restaurants and shops just steps from the hotel, and we highly recommend renting bikes to explore the island—it’s the best way to take in the beautiful scenery. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and the rooftop hot tub is the perfect spot to watch the sunset after a day of adventure.

A special touch was the welcome cocktail upon arrival, setting the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The vibe here is friendly, laid-back, and fun—exactly what you’d want from a beach getaway.

We highly recommend the Coronado Beach Resort to anyone looking for the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and California charm. We’ll definitely be back!

Location is great, HOWEVER, CBR is full of deferred maintenance. My “1 bedroom” is a studio with a drape between the living room and bed. (211). The sofa bed was crushingly flat and not sleep-able. The windows were broken…1 is nailed shut and the other one, the mechanism is broken so you cannot close it after you open it. Unfortunately, once maintenance leaves about 6 PM you are on your own. The front desk says they will take care of things but never does. We have stayed here for years and it has gotten worse and worse. It’s apparent the management is not investing in the property. Look around for alternatives or have your expectations set on a very low grade place to stay. Big disappointment. Be cautious about the positive reviews because they are owners of the timeshares and it is in their best interest to have positive reviews to sell.

First the good:

The hotel is in an excellent location in Coronado, perfect for everything local.

The staff was all friendly and strived to provide a good experience. There aren’t really any amenities at the hotel so it’s really just front desk and cleaning staff (I chose not to have my room cleaned during my stay).

The bad:

The hotel is tired. All of the furniture needed to be replaced a decade ago. The room was as clean as it could be, but everything is worn and stained.

The rooms themselves are dark with very low ceilings and just generally unpleasant to be in.

The bathrooms were no different, everything was old and had grime and dirt buildup. Water pressure was terrible.

Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again unless the hotel was completely renovated.
