My wife and I came for a surf and turf class on Valentine's Day and it was fantastic. The food was terrific (honestly as good as many local restaurants around here) and we learned a lot along the way.

The structure of the class allows you to watch how the chefs prepare the food as they explain every part of the process. You can ask any questions you want. Some of the most valuable cooking insight for us was the little details like how they apply olive oil to steak using an oil mister or the differences between kosher salt and pink himalayan salt. The whole experience took around 3 hours. We will definitely be back.

My experience was very similar to the one described in another Google review. Upon arriving, we too discovered that the class was overbooked and that we would be positioned at a table behind the main group that was sitting at the large island. Consequently, we left without attending. We felt that the experience would not be worthwhile because our view of the chef would have been largely if not entirely obscured. I had taken a class there before and knew from personal experience that the people seated around the island interact as one group and enjoy watching all of the action right in front of them. That is hardly comparable to watching the chef from ceiling mirrors while facing the backs of the members of the group. Just as the other reviewer experienced, the owner, who wasn’t there on the day of the class, was extremely rude in her correspondence with us. She had no regard for good public relations and was offensive and arrogant in her manner. I would not recommend this business to anyone and I will definitely not patron it again.

The idea of this place is great, but the execution, not so much. The class I went to was clearly over-booked and I ended up being crammed in a corner in which I could not see anything going on as far as cooking. It was nice that they had mirrors on the ceiling to watch the cooking, which is what I had to do, but that's not that much different than watching a cooking show on TV. I wasn't able to truly see what was going on and every meal tasted the same due to the addition of the same 2-3 unique ingredients in each dish served, even the dessert. The class I went to was a wine paired one, but we received less than half a glass of mediocre sparkling wine. I specifically took a taxi to the event because I figured we would be trying a bit more than that. It was not really a true wine tasting/pairing as advertised. The class wasn't cheap either at nearly $100 dollars. To top it all off, the elderly lady that owns the place was not very pleasant and she was extremely rude in her correspondence that my jaw actually dropped. I really wanted to like this place and learn some new techniques, but sadly I learned absolutely nothing from this class and the food was very average. I found myself scrambling to take notes the whole time to try and absorb all I could from the chef, but I didn't get much from it. Hopefully others had an appropriately booked class and actually learned something.

Kids summer classes are over priced. My daughters group only made cookies & granola during the 4 day class(she already knew how to bake cookies & there is not much too baking granola), she never got to make any pastries. The apron she was given to take home was the size of an apron a toddler would wear & it was a disposable (my daughter is 11). I was so excited & so was she about learning how to bake pastries, what a disappointment.

This was a blast, and the instructor was very patient with our group and questions. Star of the show was the almond cake!
