Staff can be unprofessional and use some disrespectful and inappropriate language towards guests and visitors. Definitely a hotel that could use some further education in the following areas: sensitivity training, business ethics, corporate franchise law, and in general I hope that the staff will show more compassion and understanding towards others circumstances and not allow the people abusing their kindness turn them away from being able to recognize someone truly in distress and in need of assistance vs. someone attempting to manipulate, lie, cheat, or steal to get something from them. They have customers who truly enjoy staying with them because much of the time (90%) theyāre great. I myself have been utilizing this establishment when it was the Magnuson and I am not sure if the corporation has inflicted this attitude upon the place but it is an awful shame to say the least that I will NEVER return to any hotel the BOB PATEL ownsā¦AFTER MAKING THE SMALL COMPLAINT ABOUT KINDNESS AND PROFESSIONALISM TO CHOICE HOTELS, I was kicked out on day 5(for reasons that have changed depending who you ask; Choice customer support, myself, THEY EVEN CALLED MY emergency contact and GROSSLY EXAGGERATED THE CIRCUMSTANCESā¦in an attempt to shame, embarrass, idkā¦Reasons stated to my family; too much foot traffic, I had 2 guests over 5 days/DrugsāREALLYā¦were they doing drugs cuz I wasnāt/damage to property/assaulting another guest*I was the one hit with gash over my head*\Room being too messā¦.when said and done the companyās records indicate I assaulted someoneās and was messy and had too many guestsā¦.THE LIES THEY ARE SAYING COULD SERIOUSLY JAVE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES FOR SOME AND LUCKILY I CAN DISPROVE MUCH OF THISā¦it canāt be taken back the embarrassment, fear, physical pain) the emotional damage from this place has scarred me forever and to know that someone is capable of spreading such lies so easily without second thought or an ounce of truth within themā¦this could easily be a lawsuit one dayā¦think of how many people out of embarrassment have said nothing. I understand maintaining a pleasant environment for guests but donāt villainize said guests because they give honest feedbackā¦.i stayed for 3 days and that was great. I decided to stay another 7 and by day 1 I filed complaint about this hotel and day 2 was bootedā¦I stay 5 days, in 2 rooms and only after my complaint and suggestionsā¦I was not allowed to stay the rest of my anticipated 11 day stayā¦.this is such a complex situation it almost hides the truthā¦the truth I believe he didnāt like that I was willing to call corporate and complain and possibly discrimination vs. the LGBTQ persons because I proudly am myself and this is a possibility but not for certain. Either way I was mistreated I pays $700 for the week and used 36000 member points to be treated like a worthless piece of trashā¦.unbelievable
