My wife and I experienced car trouble near this hotel and ended up running into some of the best people America has to offer in terms of the help we received. From Earl at A&E towing, to Pastor Latoya to Frank and his staff at the Comfort Inn, truly appreciate the kindness and hospitality we received from all of these folks during a situation for us that could have been so different than it ended up being. We are home safe, thank you all and hope our path's cross again. The Comfort Inn staff could not have been any better, thank you all again and SO appreciate the follow up to locate items we hastily left behind, you are the best!

We found this adorable place several months ago, and had such a great experience that we've been back several times since. It's not only perfectly situated in a location central to tons of hiking and exploring, but the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming that I could see making the hotel itself a mini-vacation. I especially love Joette, who works nights on the weekend. she is absolutely precious, and she goes out of her way to make every visit positive and memorable. In all the times we've stayed here, I honestly cannot think of one negative. The breakfast is wonderful as well, and the lady who prepares it is also sweet and attentive. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The check in and out was easy. Staff was friendly. It was easy to get in and out of. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet. The only downside to the room we were in was it was facing the pool and the lights shone through the window. There was no way of fully closing the curtain. Breakfast was great also.

I should have known this place was a dump when they had a sign posted at the front desk asking for good reviews in exchange for points. The room was absolutely filthy. I have never been so disgusted by a room. I asked for clean sheets right when we got in. They went through 2 new sets of sheets before finding some that were not stained. It looked like they didn't even clean the room. Common areas, like the lobby, seemed pretty clean though.

We stayed here October 21 - 24, 2024. The public areas and our room were very clean. The front desk personnel were helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for exploring the New River Gorge National Park area. The manager, Amanda, cheerfully adjusted the number of nights we stayed. (I expect booking directly with the hotel instead of through a third agency made it easier to make adjustments to our stay.) The only small criticism is that the hot food on the breakfast buffet was not top quality. The rest of the breakfast buffet each of the three mornings was great. We would stay there again.

We had a double king room and the beds were so comfy. It was what we needed after spending 8 hrs in a car. The location was perfect for our needs. We actually went here twice. We stopped on our way to our destination and then again on our way back. Staff was always so kind and never seemed inconvenienced with any questions I had. The Continental breakfast was good. We especially liked the sausage gravy and biscuits. Great value, nice sized rooms, and conveniently located.

Our stay was booked using credit card points, and I completely screwed up our check-in date…when we arrived at the hotel, we did not have a reservation. This was totally my fault, yet the manager (Frankie) went out of his way to accommodate us. It was exceptional customer service, and he absolutely saved our vacation! The room was clean, beds were comfy, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Location is perfect for all things New River Gorge!

We booked last minute because we were traveling the state for some Almost Heaven Swings. The hotel was great, the staff were kind and the breakfast was incredible. The hotel is located conveniently by all tourist attractions. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
