I just recently stayed at this hotel while traveling with my brother and my wife the hotel is very accessible plus right off the interstate. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a front desk lady named Kadin who had a vape and took a big rip out of it right there in the building. Now this is very unprofessional especially since I am stil recovering from some lung issues from a illnesss I contracted and was not happy with that at all. But the next morning we came down and was greeted by the other staff employees who were all so sweet and wonderful and really overall made are experience better than the previous night. The breakfast was good and the hotel was nice and clean and I would recommend staying here but I would not recommend coming later in the evening if you have lung issues but I would overall recommend. coming here just only had a problem with the front desk lady. The pool was nice too. and pet friendly as well. Hope this helps whoever is reading this!!!!!! Also to the mangers who is over this hotel please do something about the smoking in the building it is a huge liability and the only reason why I’m giving you a good score is because of the other staff and the rooms wear cleaned but your front desk lady needs to be nicer and faster to check in guests and NOT SMOKE. Thank you

We came to West Virginia to see Billy Bob's Wonderland. We decided to stay here and overall had a good experience.
Pros:
*The beds were very comfortable
*The hallways were clean
*Overall the room was clean
*The area was quiet
*We felt safe in the area
*Breakfast was tasty and always hot and ready(we got eggs and sausage and muffins most mornings-more cereal choices would be nice-kid friendly etc)
*The pool depth was great for our kids
Cons:
* there were multiple things wrong/broken in our room; rips, tears, our drawers were taped shut, there was no arm on the chair etc(see pictures)
*There was no holder for the toilet paper, it just had to sit on the counter
*There was 1 garbage can and it was in the bathroom
*Our refrigerator leaked and the carpet got very wet by the 2nd night
*Although it said non smoking hotel-you could smell cigarette smoke when you got off the elevator every day
*The outside side door was not latching even when pushed so the building was not locked at night
*The location was difficult to get into with the one way streets and mall
*I didn't see an employee all 3 nights except for check in and the one morning whomever refilled breakfast
Despite all the cons-which some seem mild they just added up- we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here on 11/16. I showed up around 6pm to check in and there was no one to be found. Waited for about 15-20 mins, called out into the back room and down the hall just to see if there were any employees. Called the place while I was waiting and there was no answer while other patrons were lining up behind me also wondering what was going on. Ultimately left because I was going to be late for a meeting and decided I would come back and check in later.
The stay itself was uneventful. Everything was clean and worked. The bathroom facet was a little messed up and the hot water was tepid, but otherwise, it did what it needed to do, which was house me for the night.
The other big thing is that they charge for parking....why? I have been a Choice card member for a long time, and my father even more so with work, and neither one of us have ever been charge for parking at a Choice hotel. I called and talked to a staff worker at the desk this morning (11/20) and she told me it was a change at corporate about a year ago and that it was all facilities, not just theirs....to which I shared that not only had I stayed at a choice hotel the night prior in a much busier area with no parking charge, but I have stayed in many different choice facilities over the last year and have never been charged for parking. Do other, "nicer" places charge for parking? Sure...on occasion and particularly in bustling and packed areas. But for the type of facility and purpose of stay this was, this was inappropriate. I wouldn't advise someone against staying here but I will not be staying again personally.

Positive: The location was the best thing about this hotel Negative: The entire hotel was uncomfortably warm. Even adjusting our heater we could not cool down the room.

I left my 300 AirPods in the room they said they didn’t find them!! I got tracking and their at 981 turner road hunnington the police will be notified !! That’s ignorant stealing someone’s belongings do not stay there they have no room cleaning and the place is also a dump !!

The staff were pleasant and friendly but the hotel left a bit to be desired. The first day we got there we were low on toilet paper. Called the front desk who was quick to bring one roll.
We stayed for a few days and they hardly ever came in the room. They swapped towels after the 1st day only. There was a notice that they come every three days unless requested to change towels, but I've never been in a hotel that they don't still replenish other things like toilet paper and make the beds automatically. They never made the beds at all. I had to request more toilet paper from housekeepers each time since they never came in.
Breakfast was good but the furniture in that area needs updating. The seats have badly torn and worn fabric which is an infection control issue. The smell of chlorine was overwhelming in the pool area.
The room cards can't be near a cell phone or they erase the card. Therefore we had to keep going down to get new ones. They warned us about it but it was overly sensitive. I've never been to a hotel that I can't keep the card with my phone. Also they don't ask for ID when you get a new card so there's a safety risk there as well.
Finally we were there with a large group for a soccer tournament which was going to need to extend our stay if games were won on the last couple days. This was known to the hotel prior to check in. They wouldn't let us do later check out to see if we won because of the need to clean the rooms if we were leaving. I can understand their issue being short staffed and stuff but we ended up taking 13 rooms to another hotel for the last day as a result. Seems like a bad business model. I find it hard to believe that they ended up booking all these rooms after we left on a Monday.
The location was good for our group since it was walking distance to the mall and many places to eat.
In summary, the staff were very pleasant and tried their best but the management and their business model need some assistance.

We stayed here on 1/2/25 with our 50 lb puppy and was very pet friendly, no issues with staff over having a dog. Nice room.

Easy hotel to get to off the interstate. The location was great, within walking distance of restaurants but no real sidewalk to use, not the hotel's fault. The shower had plenty of water pressure but the shower head wasn't movable so it wasn't high enough for me being 6'4". Overall was happy with the stay.
