Great location, budget friendly, and true high speed internet! I stayed one night and it was winter. I am so glad I chose College Inn, because my bed was comfortable and the room temperature was pleasant (many low priced rooms offer a thin sheet for a blanket and poor heating, but College in provided real bedding). I enjoyed a very restful evening. The place was completely quiet when I arrived (well lit and clean). It's right next to college facilities, but I did not get any street noise (would probably be different if it was summer and my window was open). There's a really cute loft on the top floor where people can eat, hang out, co-work, and socialize. I left early so didn't meet anyone, but it looked comfortable. I also loved that the room had a huge window seat bench and a good size work desk. There was even a little 3 D human model on the work desk so if I wanted to draw, I could do so. I was able to get online and work without any issues with the connection (over 50 upload speed). The entire setup was well thought out. I've seen reviews commenting on room temperature and street noise, but when I stayed, I did not have issues with any of these things. The price was also great!

We really enjoyed the stay here. Great for the budget. Was attending a conference at the University. Would definitely recommend. Slept really well. There are free earplugs upstairs as well as coffee and a great place to hang out and do work. Well appointed rooms. Walking distance to food and the campus. Friendly and solid service. Really responsive. Will definitely stay again when next in town.

Stayed here for 1 night this past weekend. It wasn't until I arrived at the hotel that I found out that it's currently the oldest hotel in Seattle! That's a nice little surprise. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The shared bathrooms and top-floor kitchen with minimal staff attendance give this hotel a very hostel vibe, but with the privacy of your own room, which ours included a small sink and vanity, overall felt quaint. Internet speed was great, in room TV was nice and big. I did really love the window couch area. Everything in the room was spotless and tidy.

I had a gig at the UW and this place is right across the street from campus, so convenience was everything. I parked in front (loading zone) and went through the check in process. It was all done via smart phone, so if you don’t have one - that won’t work! In my room was the parking tag for the spot I’d reserved. I did have a tough time locating the parking lot in the dark; even though I’d gone to school here. But overall my two night stay was very comfortable. I knew noise on the Ave might be a problem and brought my own very good earplugs. Slept through the night both times. Love being in the middle of things, lots of places to eat, and easy access to campus. Apparently a big upgrade to rooms since 2024; a nice TV, usb ports, good outlets, overhead and tower fan, and a nice flat wall heater that kept the room warm in spring chill. Love the long window seat for working on the laptop and people-watching. Bed was comfortable. Yes, there is sometimes noise from rooms upstairs, and yes, I do smell a hint of weed, but no cigarette odors. Shared bathroom on third floor has a code, which I didn’t realize had been emailed to me. Shared bathroom on second floor did not have a code, information not communicated to me. (I had to change rooms for the second night because of an unexpected extended stay, and Michael made that easy.) Both shared bathrooms were clean and I actually never saw anyone else using them even though the place was fully booked. Maybe that was just my schedule. I will stay here again.

Everything I was looking for in a solitary, weekend getaway. I chose to not rent a car because I wanted to walk everywhere. Three wonderful coffee shops within a 2-3 block area (one right under my room!), delicious dining nearby, gorgeous Univ. of WA campus ground for morning run, and the University Village mall a 15-20 minute walk away (could walk on campus the majority of the way to mall). The room itself boasted a delightful window seat where I sat each morning for coffee and each afternoon for reading. Staff was exceptionally accommodating, even leaving me a welcome note and chocolates upon my arrival. 5+ stars in every way. Thank you, College Inn!

4/5 Stars. We (2 adults, and one 11yo kid) stayed with them to visit my nephew attending UW. I would stay there again. Rating would be higher, but some things happened out of their control. The good: awesome price, convenient location to food, HOT shower water, TVs with streaming options, convenient unloading zone in front of the hotel. The okay: weird bedroom sink locations, stinky kitchen in the loft. Out of their control (our room window overlooked the College Inn Pub): loud patrons coming in and out of the Pub; loud drivers on the street racing at 3am.

First, every staff member we encountered was fantastic - above par, for sure. Unfortunately, their professionalism and friendliness can’t change a few of the things that we disliked at the hotel. First, there’s no elevator. I’m sure it’s mentioned on their website and it’s my fault for overlooking it. But that meant my husband with cerebral palsy had a very large staircase to climb anytime we came or went. The room was clean, but the floor was incredibly un-level on one side of the room and the bathroom was so small that there wasn’t room for a sink - so it was in the bedroom. I paid for a parking space then found it was two blocks away. When I failed to hang the hotel’s hang tag one night, I was charged an additional fee of $75 for one night. The hotel got that waived - but it just shouldn’t have happened (yes, I failed to hang the tag, but the hotel could easily provide the parking lot with license plate numbers and eliminate the tags altogether). These problems add up to enough that we won’t be staying at the College Inn Hotel again in the future despite the super-friendly staff.

We loved the charm and history of this cute hotel. It was perfectly located for our needs. It is also very close to a lot of food and retail. The room was clean and smelled great (kudos to the cleaning staff!). The bed was very comfortable. Finally, the price was moderate. Would definitely book again.
