I recently visited COA Mexican Eatery & Tequileria in Mount Vernon, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was excellent, with rich flavors and authentic dishes that truly stood out. The drinks were equally impressive, offering a great selection and perfectly balanced cocktails.

The ambiance was awesome—vibrant and lively, which added to the overall experience. It is a bit loud inside, but not so much that it ruins the conversation; we were still able to talk comfortably.

I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great meal and a fun, welcoming atmosphere!

If a non-Mexican thinks Mexican food isn’t good, it’s probably because they haven’t tried authentic Mexican cuisine. The rice was delicious, and I never imagined beans could taste so good. The portions were very generous, and the service was excellent. The server frequently came by to ask if we wanted more complimentary chips, and as I’m writing this review, I’m already missing the food. They also kept checking if we were enjoying the dishes and if we needed anything else. Every cocktail looked amazing, but since I was dining with kids, unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try them. I tried Mole sauce for the first time—it had such rich layers of flavor, from the first bite to the lingering aftertaste. Definitely worth trying!

Very spacious - dining room and a separate bar area. Nice decor. Street burrito and chimichanga were both absolutely delicious. Chips were hot and made in house. Salsa was a bit spicy. Highly recommend this spot if you haven’t been here before!

A few months back we stopped in and had a super yummy molcajete. We were driving through again and made a point of stopping to have one for lunch today. It arrived and quickly we felt like it was different. The prawns on top were the same but the meat was diced up so small it felt like we were eating a stew. You couldnt tell if you had a piece of steak or chicken. It felt like they grabbed anything that was left on a chopping board and tossed it in. Very disappointed. And it was also weird that the plate that came with the guacamole and pico and sour cream, the sour cream was a solid mound? Maybe they prepare the plates before and just address rice and the beans when they serve it.
Anyways, super disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. The staff made me feel right at home (Texas). The drinks were delicious and strong enough to feel something and the food was fresh tasting. I look forward to returning.

Fun spot in Mount Vernon area. Love the chips and salsa. The white cod ceviche is a favorite. Great customer service. Great spot for date night but also great for families too.

It's a cozy place with good service. As with most Mexican restaurants, we got a free order of chips and salsa after being seated. We ordered Los Tacos and Chile Relleno. Most menu items could be made vegetarian. The portion size was good enough for 2 hungry adults.

The three of us came to COA for lunch after a long time. The interior of the restaurant felt better than before. Our server is a good service. We ordered Chile Relleno, Los Tacos, and Three Cheese Quesadilla.
After that, they brought me warm chips and salsa. This was so delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. I tasted three dishes. The most delicious one was Chile Relleno, the second was three cheeses Quesadilla, and the third was Los Tacos. I just realized that if you look at the menu, Chile Relleno is Mount Vernon Farmers Market Winner 2014.
There was also a group of children celebrating their birthday in the restaurant, which seemed to be fun. When you are near here, stop by here and try some delicious Mexican food.
