My wife and I stayed here for two nights on 12/17 and 12/18. At first, everything seemed great—the environment was nice, and the room was spacious. But then things took a turn for the worse, and it became a nightmare.

First, our showerhead didn’t have any water. Around 9:40 PM, we called the front desk several times, but no one picked up (even though the hotel says their staff is available until 10 PM). We had no choice but to fill the sink with water and use a pot to pour water over each other just to take a shower.

The next morning at 8:30 AM, we tried calling the front desk again, but still, no one answered. When we left for the day, there was no one there either. We went skiing and didn’t come back until close to 6 PM. Finally, there was someone at the front desk—a man. I told him about the shower issue, but he just gave me a helpless look and said it was too late to do anything because the technicians had already gone home. He suggested we use the shower in the sauna area instead.

He also said they could send someone to check the shower at 8 AM the next morning, but I told him we’d be checking out by then, so it didn’t make any sense. He just kept looking helpless and didn’t offer any real solution.

After we left the hotel and got home, I noticed they had charged us an extra $300. When I called to ask why, they said it was for smoking in the room. Neither my wife nor I smoke, but they refused to do anything about it and just gave me another number to contact their corporate customer service.

This was honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I hope no one else has to deal with this kind of frustration on their vacation. Maybe it was just bad luck for me, but it could happen to you too.

Being a resort we expect that the rooms be clean and look good. The rooms all need work. Showers that don't work right. Broken trash compactor, dishwasher that sometimes works. We did not let our grandkids sleep in the loft. Looking for a small toy that had fallen between the mattresses and head board. There was so much dust and spider webs. Old socks, candy etc. Probably been there a long time. We believe that the management is letting the condos so that the site can be sold. Very disappointed.

The lodge was wonderful, the staff specifically Sherrie is very rude. After checking out, I reviewed my bank statement and noticed there was a fee for $84, I called the hotel and they stated it was for a late fee although on their brochure it states for an hour it’s only $25. I reached out to the front service desk and the only solution that was given to me was to send an email and it will be resolved. I asked for a turn around time frame as this fee was not anticipated. She was very rude and was not able to provide me a timeframe. It would be nice to have been given some type of empathy for the hotel’s error instead of being given attitude. Besides this situation, the stay was well overall.

Location is awesome with lots of nearby activities, restaurants, ski resorts, and groceries. The resort has a great ambience and is very relaxing. Missed the lounge and food service not being available. The unit I stayed in could use some basic maintenance like painting and caulking, but was clean and comfortable.

My family and friends stay here nearly every year when visiting Tahoe. We love the location (near 2 of our favorite ski spots: Mt Rose and Diamond Peak). It's a simple resort, affordable, and we enjoy the bar/clubhouse. The condos definitely need updating, but we come here for the memories, sights, snow, and skiing.

Very nice place for a rugged vacation in woods and skiing Mount Rose. Why giving 5 stars because really loved access to fire place with complementary logs. Loved the loft, view of woods, easy parking, how large the place was, easy access to town and highway. Nice lodge with view also and reception was excellent.

Neat cabin environment with good amenities, but rooms need some updating. Improving room lighting tone and bathroom update would be most valuable.

This is a hotel that will go to any lengths to make money, even slandering its guests and disregarding their needs.

The front desk phone is always unreachable, and when you walk to the front desk, they’ll dismissively tell you, “There’s nothing I can do 🤷🏼.” They even go as far as falsely accusing guests just to charge extra fees.

If you’re looking for the worst accommodation experience of your life, this is the perfect hotel for you.
