Made a reservation for a room when I showed up they said their room was not available, but they had another one they could put me in That would not be facing the river and Lower price. Couple days later after I get home I see the charge on My bank statement only to see that the room was $65 more than what my original reservation was going to be. When I called the hotel to discuss this, they said a manager would call me back the next day and naturally no phone call. I will leave this at what it is and will not be visiting their location again.

I knew this was an old hotel I just wanted a great view of the river. When booking it said superior room with a view so I booked it. Unfortunately when I got here they put us on the 1st floor with a partial view. I immediately went back he said too bad we are gonna be full tonight. It was still early I asked to be moved to an upper floor again no. No apology nothing basically just stared at me. I’m not even going into everything else that is terrible but they do smoke inside near the back staff entrance so it smells like cigarette smoke in the hall. Very disappointing to say the least. Also the windows are stain so my partial view even sucked.

The room was old 70s, plugs were falling out the wall. Construction was being done and limited room choices. No crow nest due to construction witch was not mentioned in any way. Pool was closed and the over grown vegetation was a mess. This made the view of the bridge less than charming. The bed was so bad we chose to shorten our stay the second day of our reservation.Being that none of this was up front I would have went elsewhere

I have stayed here a number of times due to frequent work travel. This stay marked significant reduction in quality.

The location is one of the reasons I have repeatedly selected Clover Island. The other was the included breakfast made the price a really good deal. They used to have two employees serving breakfast and would make some breakfast items, such as eggs, as requested so they were hot and fresh. This time they no logger offered eggs made to order and bacon was not available. The scrambled eggs and sausage were bland and cold.

Another issue that I had not encountered before was loud guests staying in the next room over. They could be heard half down the hallway to the elevator. I notified the front desk person about the issue at 1am. The other guests did get a bit better, but still made random sounds until 3am. The other room was the kind that can be shared with another via doors separating them. Hopefully as Clover Island is remodeling they will do away with this design or better sound insulate the doors and rooms.

My friend and I checked in late March 1, 2025, and we were going to stay until March 3, 2025. We checked in around 10:30 pm and went to our room. When we arrived, there was an order and blood on the floor where the bathroom and the carpet meet. We contacted the front desk, and she moved us to the second floor. We were exhausted and fell asleep. At 8 am, the phone in our hotel room started to ring and woke us up. Zak at the front desk told me we had to move rooms as the young lady that checked us in had double-booked the room we were staying in. I went downstairs and viewed the room he was moving us to, and it was a downgrade, awful. At this point, we were so tired and asked if we could upgrade to a better room, but he told me nothing was available. I instantly pulled up the availability of 3 rooms with a river view, so he was lying to us. We let them know it was not acceptable, and we checked out and went to the Best Western Premier in Pasco. He told me he could not help me with a refund and that there was no manager to help and to contact the company Trivago for a refund. I called, and they started my complaint about what we had been dealing with at the Clover Inn. Also, I purchased trip insurance through Trivago for this stay. Finally, a week later, I received an email telling me there was no refund because the front desk told them we asked to move rooms for no reason and that we stayed the full time; this is a complete lie. I have all the documents stating we indeed didn't stay and would have left the first night if we knew they were going to move us back to the awful room. This hotel is under major renovations that are long overdue, and they should not expect families to stay in stinky, dirty rooms. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Zak, the front desk employee, lied 2 times, once to us and then to Trivago. He expected us to stay in a room that smelled awful.

They are in the process of a remodel and the restaurant/bar is closed. They have removed ice machines and the breakfast is a bare minimum. Beautiful location and clean basic rooms.

Generally I will leave a five-star review but:
Parking lot closed minus one star
Restaurant closed minus one more star
Pool and spa closed minus yet another star...

Unfortunately, that means they get a two star review. I paid in advance based on the fact that they had a pool a restaurant on site and ample parking. Sorry about that guys but you only get two stars since most of the features that I rented this place for were closed. In addition, my beautiful view of the river is completely obliterated by equipment that's parked right next to my room blocking my window because of all the remodeling that's going on. Would have been nice to know all this ahead of time.

On the positive side the rooms are super clean the help was very courteous and I would have loved to have given this place a five-star review but as noted not happening this time around.
