A late post from original stay the week of July 8, 2024. A great tucked away spot on a beautiful lake! We found this resort based on a random search for military vacation spots and found very little information on the place. But we took a chance and made the 4 hour trip. Well worth it! We stayed in one of three older cabins on the lake and it was perfect! Walking distance to the fishing pier and beach. Boat rentals on site were a plus as well! We would def stay again.

Good time, every time. We have spent 5 summers soaking in all the time we could get here. We enjoy spending weekends in the cabins. They have boats and all kinds of water equipment you can rent. There is a Cafe where you can grab a drink and sine food. You can also buy some worms and enjoy fishing from the dock. We always enjoy the fishing there.

Was under the impression this way a public lake, turns out it's Military Access only.... signs everywhere say militart id required but no one asked to see ours so we snuck in 🤫🤫
Equipment rentals available, beautiful sandy beach, easy access to parking, bathrooms, playground, boat launch and pet friendly! Great for paddle boarding, okay for swimming (lots of seaweed areas).

Overall a nice military recreational and camping area. The trailer parking feels a little crowded, but very affordable. What is not affordable is their recreation rental rates, especially given this is a military venue - $60 a day for a kayak is not fair or reasonable. Really...
