Friendliest Staff I have ever meet. Beautiful grounds. A must stay… do not skip this Resort. |Location close to Capitola downtown, great hiking trails. |The restaurant “ View” great dinner and dessert menu. |The room with the bund beds was perfect for 5 girlfriends. |Such a clean resort. Will be so lucky enough to stay again.

Stayed the weekend to get away from San Jose. First time there. We had the best time! We felt the staff was excellent and so accommodating, genuine and kind. Our room amazing! Super cozy bed 💗, the spa and fitness center are lovely. Even though the weather was a little overcast The View was still beautiful, the property is gorgeous. My heart is so full and happy ❤️

Hotel is in a beautiful and convenient location to Santa Cruz. The pool is gorgeous. The views from "The View" restaurant are gorgeous. The rooms...not so gorgeous. Our room was definitely in need of painting. The furniture was beat up. The bathroom door had no knob or lock. There was a hole in the ceiling that someone had stuffed a tissue into. For the price, I think they could invest some money into refreshing the rooms. Food at "The View" restaurant looks good but tastes average especially considering the price.

We LOVE this resort for a couple getaway but even more so as a family getaway. It’s secluded, serene, and beautiful. We love the pool with poolside drinks and even family movie nights. The bunk room fits our family of five comfortably which is hard to find. Amazing gym with tons of equipment. And dog friendly!

Went to the spa and had the best massage from Alyssa. It was their new signature massage with the warm shells. It was amazing. I recently fell and had a foot injury and I could walk so much better after the treatment. Had a lovely breakfast at the hotel restaurant and then was pampered. The spa area is lovely.

My husband and I were doing a coastal road trip and decided to stop in Santa Cruz for a night. We booked a last minute hotel night online. It looked like a decent resort from the photos and descriptions. We should have read reviews. I know everyone’s level of taste and comfort is different when it comes to hotels. Immediately walking up to the building we said we didn't have a good feeling about it. This hotel is very outdated and really due for some renovations. That being said this wasn’t the worst of it. We went in and started to put our things down and look around. My husband pulled back the sheets to the bed and there were a couple ants. So we looked around because usually where there is one there is more. They were in the bathroom, the ceiling and around the slider door to the patio. We immediately called the front desk and notified them, they apologized and stated they would move us. They came to the room and took us to a new room, which was just a few doors down in the same building. Same problem with that room. We asked to be moved to the a differed building which they accommodated. The third room was much better. No ants My booking was non refundable or we would have left. I don’t know what is normal as far as customer service for this situation, but I would have expected the manager to give us a personal apology and maybe even a discount. What they did was provide us with one complimentary drink and appetizer at the bar. Needless to say I won’t be booking a non refundable night to anyplace I have not stayed before.

We booked our room with a third party payment service and when we checked in they charged our credit card for room incidentals and the full price ($831) instead of only the $100 for the security deposit by accident. They also forgot to deliver the ordered chocolate covered strawberries and wine but they immediately compensated us for their mistake by providing a meal credit ($50) and complementary activity (smores firepit). ||Overall, it is a great place to celebrate a special occasion because they will make sure any error on their part is fixed in a timely manner and does not ruin your experience. All the staff is very friendly, there are many activities to do, and the free guided tour with Cassandra is something you will not want to miss! We hope to visit again soon.

Concert and buffet dinner were excellent, as was the wait staff. Great breakfast. But……the room $322 (including cost of show and dinner) for a poorly decorated motel 6. No chair, grey ugly & metal furnishing, gashes in one wall, only 1 hand towel for 2 people, rusted hand mirror and bathroom light fixtures, only 1 bedside lamp, no USB ports, sheet not Long enough for bed. Housekeeping walked in twice - not sure why since they say housekeeping is by request only. I hope the management reads this. Bed was comfortable.
