I’ve been going here for about six months off and on and the quality is good and they are very friendly. The mom and the daughters I ordered three dozen tamales for Christmas pork and chicken brought them to the party. Everybody loved them. There were none left at the end. I highly recommend itclean quality tasty tamales at a very fair price. Thank you. I will be back.

The food was a lot more expensive than I’m used to and the flavor was lacking. $3.50/each tamale, $10/two tamales with sauce, sour cream and avocado crema. Sauces are 0.25/each. Overall, I wouldn’t go back.

Based on positive reviews, I sought to experience the establishment's tamales. However, my weekday work schedule presented a challenge in visiting during their operating hours. Upon finally trying them, I was profoundly disappointed; the considerable expense far outweighed the quality. The tamales were exceptionally thin with meager fillings, essentially resembling plain masa. I strongly advise against this location and instead recommend Dulce Tentacion, offering superior value and generously filled tamales.

The moment you see this place you know, either heaven or hell. Either this place will be the answer to your dreams, or a one way ticket to disappointment city.
It's small, the tiny home answer to culinary perfection. Just enough room for two people to create magic and then, only if they know each other extremely well.

They were friendly, approachable, and confident in their service as only masters of an art form can be. I got two Pork Tamales to go, just to test the waters so to speak and brought them home in a little zip lock bag. When I cracked the seal on that ever lovin little bag, the aroma that came wafting out was nothing short of nirvana. They were, the best two Tamales I have ever had.

It is one of those special little spots that can fit right into your life like a favorite hat, or the old jacket that you wear nearly every day. I can see Chalita's becoming part of a rhythm of life. as essential as coffee or your favorite radio station (in my case NPR).

This is what I am always looking for. Food made with love and passion. Food with depth and feeling. They seemed proud and deserved to be proud.

Got the pork in red sauce with beans & rice. Stick to the tamales. They were good. Prices have doubled. Food has not. Almost $20 for 2 tamales and spoon full of rice and beans. Tamales were mostly meat so there is that. Some places are essence of meat and mostly masa. Was hoping for a taste of SoCal tamales. This wasn’t it, but it’s worth a try.

I have never tried cheese tamales before, I usually get pork but I recently went vegetarian so I was skeptical on trying them. It’s cheese and jalapeño in the tamale. Today was my second time getting them and they definitely do not disappoint. Best tamales I’ve ever had. They are super friendly and the inside looks very clean. I will continue buying here 🤗
