First, let me say the atmosphere and the vibe very cute and quaint. I love that. They display their homemade desserts and I am a huge fan of hot sauce and they have quite a lot displayed.. The food after we ordered did come out fairly quickly and taste really good. Nothing one of their mini hot sauces couldn’t fix if you desired more flavor…. My only Complaint is that I am also very big on customer service. When we walked in After being spotted, there was no hello. Welcome to. I stood there for about 30 to 45 seconds. I had to approach a gentleman and ask do we just sit anywhere? He said yes… After we sat down for about another 10 to 15 minutes, no one had came over with menus or a welcome greeting.. So I went over myself to get a menu and then I was told that they would bring it over… Being that this was my first time patronizing this business, I did not know if that was normal protocol or not.. However, after receiving menus and food, he did come back and was very apologetic for the wait… I will return because again And atmosphere was great and it was a very clean

Terrible service. Had to ask for condiment, waited 30 minutes to get served and had to ask for bill after waiting for 15 minutes after clearly done. Waitress only showed up after I left table and asked to be served. Served a cold cup of coffee. Toilet was plugged and unable to use. Food was not great. French fries not cooked all the way and still cold. One of worst restaurants I have encountered.

My wife and I ate here a couple days ago and saw this in our ketchup. I understand sometimes ketchup might have larvae in it after processing and is “usually harmless”. I asked two servers and they said it’s probably either a tomato or cheese. The only way our ketchup would have had shredded cheese is if it was reused from another dish. We’ve been sick and having stomach pain for the past couple days now. She also heard a couple from another table questioning their ketchup and the servers tried to avoid the conversation and grabbed other co workers to talk to us

This is my FAVORITE place in La Mesa, the bloody Marys are terrific, the food is wonderful, the staff is great, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and chill. Every time we're in the area we stop in for a guaranteed great meal/drink!!

Wonderful family style restaurant. I had the vegetarian garden burger which was very good. And my partner had the original eggs benedict, which she said was great. Nice atmosphere and wonderful service. We'll be going back.

Food is really great but yeah service was slow. My daughter had the seafood spaghetti, my husband had the lasagna, i had the build your own pesto pasta. Their pesto pasta was really good. The dried tomatoes on it was so good. Pesto sauce was creamy. I had shrimp and meatballs on it. Chicken and shrimp would have been better. The build your own pasta is good for two especially if you're having 2 kinds of meat. Their meatballs was big and good, that would be great with the spaghetti not pesto.

First time eating there. Had the tomato basil bisque soup. The soup was delicious and good size for a cup. Also had the chicken pesto panini and it was very tasty and filling. The pistachio ice cream was spectacular. Friendly service. Will definitely return.

The best restaurant in La Mesa run by a nice family including the married couple that is usually there. Great drinks, quality ingredients and the nicest people.
