First of all I was a little leery as the website did not have good photos of the cabins. I was pleasantly surprised that the cabins were way better than I was expecting. The owners are very nice, the views are perfect. Stayed in the Sunfish cabin and it is right on the lake with a dock and swimming beach. I attached photos of the interior. The view from the table cant be beat.

My family and I have been coming here for over 25 years. This year, we decided to rent 2 cabins to accommodate everyone. That is over $1700 we paid for the week, no big deal. On our second day, the septic system started backing up into the shower when my fiancé was showering. When we went to tell the owners, it was like they were just waiting for us to tell them. They weren’t surprised, they did not apologize. They told us we’d have to switch to another cabin, this one at LEAST 30 years older than the cabin we had chosen (which is why we chose the newer cabin, obviously). We declined. We said we would use that bathroom and the bathroom of my parents cabin (up a very steep hill) until they could get ours fixed. No one ever came to fix it. We spent the entire week walking to a different cabin to use the restroom and to shower. Even washing the dishes had to be done in a way so that the septic wouldn’t back up into the kitchen sink! When it came to the end of our stay and it was time to pay, we expected them to offer us a discount at least. That didn’t happen. When we asked for one, one of the owners became extremely hostile. She said she offered us a different cabin and we declined, so we should pay full price! We explained the cabin offered as a replacement was in no way comparable to the one we had reserved and put a deposit on more than SIX months previously. She was extremely rude and told us they’d give us $100 off “take it or leave it”.
It’s heartbreaking that after 25 years, we’d be treated so poorly. Alas, we won’t be continuing our tradition of coming to this place.

We've been going to Cedar Bay Resort for the last 20 years and it is always one of the best weeks of the year. The cabins are perfectly situated with incredible views of Oxbow lake. Two of the cabins are brand new and the other two are older but very clean. This year we rented the wave runner and the kids had a blast. We caught some bass and northern pike off the pier, and a 33" musky on the lake as well as a whole bunch of walleye. Camp fires at night. The kids love it.
